Study Of The Impact Of Employees' Proactivity Safety Behaviors To The Safe Production Of Small Scale Enterprises

Small scale enterprises(SSEs)occupy a significant position of the economic and social development,offer a large number of jobs,and boost the economic and social development.However,safety occurrence is the main issue for the development of SSEs.Specially,the pressure of survival and development,insufficient safety investment and unprofessional safety management method and experience are the main reasons of hindering the development of SSEs.Therefore,how to explore a low-cost and high-benefit method for improving safe production of SSEs has important research and practical significance.According to research background and purpose,this study chooses employees' proactivity safety behaviors as research objectives and analyzes the dual-effects impact to safe production behavior of SSEs.First,this study analyzes the characteristics of proactivity safety behaviors and gives the definition by results of meta-analysis and literature review.According to the previous analysis,the dual-effects conception model of employees' safety proactivity behaviors is offered.Secondly,according to the principles of the safety psychology and safety behaviors,the internal effects model of employees' proactivity safety behaviors is built.Structural equation model(SEM)is utilized to explain and analyze the impact of the internal effects.Thirdly,according to practical background and empirical research,agent based model is utilized to simulate the external effects of employees' proactivity safety behaviors,which analyzes the dynamic evolution of safety-level of production and profit of SSEs.Finally,according to the result of SEM and agent based model,suggestions and implications are offered.The research contents are shown as follows.First,this study proposes an analysis framework for the dual effects of employees' proactivity safety behaviors.According to define the concept of proactivity safety behaviors,the analysis of the related theory,and meta-analysis result,this study put forward proactivity safety behaviors of dual effect analysis framework,dual effect is embodied in the internal effect and external effect,internal effect refers to the employees through the proactivity safety behaviors directly affect the safety in production of SSEs,external effect refers to the employees by outside the main body,namely the government inception and social supervision,multi agents participation impact on SSEs in production.Second,model building and structural equation model analysis of internal effects of employees' proactivity safety behaviors is proposed.This study builds a conception model of perceived organization safety support(POSS),person-organization safety fit(POSF),prosocial and proactive safety behaviors and the improvement of safe production of SSEs.SEM is utilized to analyze the relation of these factors and test their path effect.The results show that POSS and POSF are positively related to employees' prosocial and proactive safety behaviors and positively related to the improvement of safety management,the transformation of safety procedures and the identification of safety hazards.Employees' prosocial safety behaviors are shown as safety whistleblowing,specially,safety whistleblowing is positively related to the improvement of safety management,while not related to the transformation of safety procedures and the identification of safety hazards.Employees' proactive safety behaviors are shown as safety voice and safety initiative,specially,safety initiative is positively related to the improvement of safety management,the transformation of safety procedures and the identification of safety hazards,safety voice is not significant with the relation of the improvement of safety management,the transformation of safety procedures and the identification of safety hazards.Employees' prosocial and proactive safety behaviors mediate the relationship between POSS and POSF and the improvement of safety management,the transformation of safety procedures and the identification of safety hazards.Third,this study builds external effect simulation model of employee proactivity safety behaviors and analysis of simulation results.Based on the complex adaptive theory and agent based model,software Netlogo is utilized to build the model of employees,SSEs,the government and the public and simulate the different agents.The model also defines the intelligent learning mechanism for SSEs.The model compares several scenarios that vary the extent to which employees' prosocial safety behavior impacts the safety-level of production of SSEs with the effect of government and the public.The results show that when employees choose to keep silent,the safety-level of production shows the lowest position and the profit is relatively low compared to other scenarios.When employees choose to exposure the safety information to the public,the safety-level of production and the profit are increased.When employees choose to whistle the blow the illegal or unsafe production activities to the government,the safety-level of production are increased compared to expose to the public,while the profit are the lowest because of the penalty.When employees choose to expose the safety information to the public and whistle the blow the illegal or unsafe production activities to the government at the same time,safety-level of production and profit are both increased and keep steady with the periodically evolution.Meanwhile,when employees also choose turnover,safety-level of production and profit are significantly increased and keep increasing with the periodically evolution.Fourth,this study proposes management countermeasures to improve safety production behavior of SSEs under the dual effect of employee safety initiative.According to the results of SEM and agent based model,suggestions and implications are given form both internal and external perspectives.This study not only improves the research scope and framework of safety field,but also puts forward reasonable safety suggestions for safety production of SSEs.The innovation of this research is mainly reflected in the following aspects: firstly,based on the literature research,this paper summarizes the manifestation forms of employees' safety proactive behaviors,and tentatively puts forward the dual effect analysis framework of employees' proactivity safety behaviors based on the related theories and the results of met a-analysis.Secondly,according to the perceived organizational support and personl-organization fit theory,this study has evolved into safety related theories,enriching the theory of employees' safety proaitivity behavior and SSEs safe production behavior.Finally,this study analyses the influence of employees' proactivity safety behaviors on the safety production of SSE with the participation of multiple agents of the society and the government.
