The mobile media tools based on smartphone have brought about a transformative impact on the tourism industry as well as tourists interaction.Specifically,on the one hand,mobile information technology has been involved in the process of travel.For example,mobile technology has reshaped the forms and scopes of tourist interaction,and the virtual community platform constructed by it expands the time and space dimensions of tourist interaction,enabling tourists to exchange information between the daily world and the travel world anytime and anywhere.On the other hand,the use of smartphone can also make tourists become "negligently blind" and cause tourists to be "absent",that is,when tourists pay much attention to mobile devices,it will cause a negligence of travel activities and experiences.The use of smart phones has become an inevitable trend in the context of the development of mobile information technology.The effect of mobile media tool on tourists interaction can be revealed systematically from the perspective of mobile media intervention,such as time-based intervention and functional intervention.Also,it is of great theoretical and practical importance to investigate the impact of information technology as well as the development model of tourist destination in this era..Therefore,this study explores the antecedents and consequences of the impact of mobile media tools on tourists' interaction based on theories of social interaction,difference pattern,and attention restoration.The research adopted qualitative research methods such as interview,ground theory and quantitative research methods such as questionnaire survey method.This research focused on the theoretical construction about the antecedent and consequence mechanism of the intervention process of mobile media tool as well as the empirical research on the antecedent of mobile media tool intervention and the effect of mobile media tool intervention on tourists' interaction.The research proposed a theoretical model through qualitative research and investigated this model through quantitative research,and then revealing the mechanism of the intervention effect of mobile media tool on tourist interaction systematic.The research focuses on smart phones,and the development model of tourism destinations is discussed in depth in the context of the impact of mobile technology on the tourism.The main conclusions of the study are as follows: First,this research systematically constructed the theoretical model of mobile media tools and tourists interaction.Specifically,the research proposed that:(1)the intervention of mobile media tools in the tourism is mainly manifested in time-based intervention and functional intervention.And the functional intervention included the use of information,entertainment and social functions;(2)according to the influence of mobile media tools,the tourists interaction can be divided into three levels: "intimate interaction","unfamiliar interaction" and "self-interaction";(3)this reseach built a theoretical model including the leading factors of mobile media tool intervention,the nature of intervention,tourists interaction(frequency and emotion).Second,empirical results of the leading factors of mobile media tools intervention showed that:(1)the daily use habits,aesthetic sights of tourism,tourist social loneliness,attitudes,subjective norms,and perceived behavioral control significantly predict tourists' usage of smartphones during travel;(2)there is a side mediation effect between the tourists' rational cognition of mobile media tools(attitude,subjective norms,and behavioral control)and contextual factors(daily use habits,aesthetic sights)when predicting the tourists' actual behavior of smartphones usage;(3)social loneliness had a negative impact on tourists' aesthetic perception on destinations.Also,aesthetic sight,attitudes,and subjective norms mediated the effect of social loneliness on tourists' smartphone use frequency.Third,the results of the mechanism of mobile media tools intervention on tourist interaction showed that:(1)the higher the frequency of smartphone usage,the lower the number of tourists interactions with companions,as well as the lower perception of intimacy;and the relationship between frequency of smartphone usage and strange relationships,trust,and self-healing is not significant;(2)there was a diverse effect of smartphones usage modes(different functions)on tourists interaction.This research assumes that the use of smartphones had a negative impact on tourists interaction,emotions,and sense of recovery.While the empirical results showed that only the entertainment usage of smartphones has a negative impact on tourists perceived intimacy.In addition,the usage of information and social functions has a significant positive impact on tourists interactions and emotions;(3)interaction behavior is an important factor that determines tourists' emotions,and there are interaction effects between interaction and emotions at different levels.Specifically,the number of acquaintance relationships affects the emotional relationship(intimacy)of acquaintances,and the number of unfamiliar relationships affects the emotion(trust)of unfamiliar relationships;while the number of acquaintance relationships and emotions,as well as the number of unfamiliar relationships and communication emotions have a significant positive effect on themselves recovery perception.The theoretical contributions of this research mainly included the following points:(1)this research built a theoretical model of the antecedents and consequences of mobile media tools intervention affecting tourists interaction through interview materials,as well as clarified the antecedents and consequences mechanism of mobile media tools' intervention on tourists interaction.This research provided the theoretical basis for mobile technology intervention;(2)The study revealed the intervention process of mobile media tools under the influences of multiple factors,and verified the rationality of the intervention mechanism of mobile media tools,and revealed the effect of usage habits and context factors on the response mechanism of tourist behavior.this research also combined the theory of planned behavior to investigate tourists' usage of smartphones,which was an extended of the theory of planned behavior;(3)this research combined the theory of difference order pattern with Pearce's tourism interpersonal relationship to further classify the interaction relationship between tourists,which is an extention of tourist interactions,and an innovative exploration of the classification of tourist interactions in the context of mobile technology intervention;(4)this study verifies the effect of the frequency usage of mobile media technologies such as smartphones on tourist interaction,and the different impact of different functional usage of smartphones on tourist interaction is a further expansion of mobile technology intervention research;(5)This research validated the interaction effects between different levels of tourists interaction on emotions,and these results are helpful to enrich the theory of tourists interaction.
