Ideology work is an extremely important task.It is related to the party's future and destiny.It is related to the country's long-term peace and stability and concerns about national cohesion and centripetal force.Colleges and universities are at the forefront of the ideological struggle,where various ideologies and cultures converge,and various social thoughts compete here.The ideological work of colleges and universities is facing many new tasks.The report of the 19 th CPC National Congress pointed out: “The younger generation has ideals,skills,and responsibility.The country has a future and the nation has hope.” The ideals,beliefs,and ideological and political status of young college students are directly related to the success or failure of the party's cause,and are related to the socialist construction with Chinese characteristics and the future of the Chinese nation.However,with the profound changes in the domestic and international situations,different ideologies and cultures are mingling with each other,social thoughts are diverse,and the reform and opening up and the socialist market economy have advanced further,and the social interest pattern has become more complex and diverse;under the high pressure of the globalization context,the western countries have used their hegemonic status to continuously strengthen the soft power of ideology.With the rapid development of network information and new media,the Internet has become the biggest variable in ideological work.Colleges and universities are at the forefront of the ideological struggle,where various ideologies and cultures converge,and various social thoughts compete against each other.The ideological work in colleges and universities is faced with many new situations and tasks.In the context of cultural and values conflicts,college students are facing many challenges in their belief in Marxism,in their identification with the Communist Party of China,and in the practice of core values of socialism.They bring with them political beliefs,ideals and beliefs,cultural values.There are many conflicts.Therefore,strengthening the recognition of mainstream ideology by college students in the new era is undoubtedly an important issue that must be faced in both theoretical research and educational practice.Based on Marxist theory and guided by the spirit of the 18 th and 19 th National Congress of the CPC,this article fully implements the socialist ideology of Chinese characteristics in the new era of Jinping,focusing on the ideological work requirements of the party in the new era,and integrating with the mainstream ideology of college students.This particularity analyzes the opportunities and challenges faced by the mainstream ideological identity of college students,and analyzes the laws of mainstream ideological identity of college students.On this basis,it proposes countermeasures to strengthen the mainstream ideological identity of college students.The main contents of the study are as follows:First,they defined the concepts related to ideology,mainstream ideology,identity,etc,explained the main functions and basic elements of ideological identity,and discussed the realization mechanism of ideological identity,and used it as the theoretical basis for research.At the same time,the development of China's mainstream ideological identity theory has been combed in order to tap the real value of China's mainstream ideological thinking resources.Second,based on the basic characteristics of college students,the author analyzes the functions of orientation,motivation,and norms of mainstream ideological identity among college students,and interprets the main types and basic goals of mainstream ideological identity among college students.At the same time,it proposes a critical reference to the theoretical results of other disciplines to deepen the grasp of the mainstream ideological identity of college students.Thirdly,with the background of network informationization,multiculturalism,and continuous improvement of the market economy,this chapter describes the new challenges,new tests,new topics and other complex realities faced by mainstream university students in the new era,and analyzes these new changes.Problems and challenges brought about.Fourth,from the theoretical issue to the practical level,through questionnaires,case interviews,and other empirical research methods,the status quo of mainstream ideological identity among college students is examined,and the practical problems existing in the recognition of mainstream ideology among college students are proposed,and from the macro perspective From the perspectives of medium,micro,and other perspectives,the underlying causes of the existing problems are analyzed.Fifth,from the perspective of university students,the college students should be concentrating on the operating mechanism of mainstream ideological identity.It mainly includes grasping rational cognition,emotional resonance and internalization of college students' mainstream ideological identity,inspiring the inner needs of college students' growth and development,enhancing the subjective initiative of college students,consciously integrating into social life practices,and externalizing into practical actions.Sixth,basing on the ideological work practice in colleges and universities,it constructs the operating mode of mainstream ideological identity among college students.To achieve “four enhancements”: to strengthen the mainstreaming of mainstream ideological identity among college students;to strengthen the education and guidance of mainstream ideological identity among college students;to strengthen the publicity atmosphere of mainstream ideological identity among college students;and to strengthen the organizational protection of mainstream ideological identity among college students.
