Research On Humanistic Care Of The Communist Party Of China In Colleges And Universities In Early New China(1949-1956)

In the early period of New China,starting from humanistic care,the Communist Party of China transformed the old universities into new ones,gradually established the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field,and promoted the healthy development of higher education in New China.Education,as the main means of cultivating talents,plays a fundamental role in social development.After the founding of New China,the obstacles to the development of higher education was broken down,and great progress was made in both quality and quantity,but the overall effect was weak,the number of colleges and universities and students was relatively small,especially the percent of engineering colleges was low.At that moment,it was difficult to meet the actual needs of the development of industrialization in New China.Therefore,from the perspective of the development of higher education itself and the construction of the service country,promoting the reform of higher education became the key task in the early days of New China.During this period,the Party and the government defined the development direction of higher education service national construction,and gradually established the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field through a series of practical activities that contained humanistic care,such as taking over and reforming colleges and universities,issuing policy and decree measures,carrying out faculty adjustment,promoting curriculum reform,carrying out ideological and political education and ideological reform campaign.From the practical effect and historical significance,under the humanistic care of the Party and the government,the path and direction of the development of higher education in the early period of New China
