Marx’s thought of community runs through the whole process of Marx’s thought development, and embodies the community pattern in different historical stages with the change of ownership forms—— the natural community, the capitalist false community and the free man community to be constructed in the future. The core question to be answered by this thought is how human beings create “the free man association" and ultimately realize the free and all-round development of human beings.Compared with the "false community" of capitalism,Marx envisaged the "Free Man Consortium" in the Communist stage, which means under the condition of highly developed productivity Human beings have the ability to transcend the dependence of human beings on things, which makes the development of free labor a human need, and at this stage realizes the essence of human-oriented community.Marx inspected the real natural community and the capitalist false community in the history of mankind. He believed that although their historical limitations were different, they were also manifested in the one-sidedness and non-freedom of human development. From the perspective of historical development,Marx found the methodological principles to solve the limitations of community development. That is to say, from the perspective of the real community,we should abandon the capitalist false community, overcome the splitting structure of the state and civil society and the self-interest nature of capital logic, take the progress of human society and the free and comprehensive development of human beings as the value pursuit, eliminate the conditions for the emergence of the state, and move towards the "free association" to realize the essence of human community. The paper is divided into six chapters. Its main contents are summarized as follows:In the first three chapters of this paper, under the control of historical materialism philosophy, the theoretical origin of Marx’s community thought and its formation and establishment are investigated.By analyzing the generating logic and developing logic of Marx’s community thought,it is revealed that Marx summarized the dialectics of the relationship between individual and community with the ultimate conclusion of "Free Man Consortium".Its transcendental significance lies in breaking through the local, consanguineous, national and other forms of community, and basing its community thought on the scientific analysis of class. The real community must be free form of class oppression and state shackles, and abandon the falsity and abstractness of capital. At the same time,it overcomes the overall alienation of human and society, and restores the true community of true meaning. This is a historical development process that draws on all the positive achievements of the capitalist false community, discards the false community established by capital after the material civilization of capital, and builds the world history on the breadth and depth of the "Free Man Consortium".Chapter IV of this paper starts from Marx’s stage of "human dependence","material dependence" and "free and comprehensive development" concerning the development of human society. This paper analyses the three forms of the evolution of Marx’s concept of community, namely "natural community","capitalist false community" and "free man community".This paper probes into the main connotation and essential characteristics of Marx’s thought of community, and discovers,re-evaluates and activates the value of the times of Marx’s thought of community by defining and understanding the concept of each community specifically referred to by Marx in different contexts. The fifth and sixth chapters of this paper focus on the contemporary value of Marx’s community thought.Discriminating and criticizing the core ideas of liberalism, utilitarianism and Communitarianism on community construction.Explaining that human society has entered the era of globalization, socialism with Chinese characteristics has hidden the noise of "the end of history" in the broad inclusiveness of Chinese civilization, innovative development of Marx’s community thought, and then reflects the historical limitations of the current capitalist community view. |
