A Study Of Contemporary Youth's Sense Of Family Responsibility And The Cultivation

Harmonious family is the foundation of a harmonious society.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,President Xi has repeatedly emphasized the important position of family construction to the party's cause and national construction.Besides,President Xi stressed the great significance of citizen moral construction,including family virtues again in the report delivered at 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Sense of family responsibility of contemporary youth is an important reflection of young citizens' moral accomplishment.In the key period of social transformation,to study the basic characteristics,inner structure and the influencing factors of young citizens'sense of family responsibility,and explore the ways to promote their sense of family responsibility not only has great theoretical research value,but also is quite necessary with the development of the society.Though the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods,and with the support of scientific theory,the paper systematically constructs and verifies the psychological structure of contemporary youth's sense of family responsibility by means of empirical investigation and statistical analysis,and also explores and summarizes the formation,transformation characteristics,problems and influencing factors of younger generation's sense of family responsibility from native families to nuclear families.Centering on activities of developing the sense of family responsibility of contemporary youth,the author puts forward the method thinking and practice path.The main contents of this paper include theoretical analysis,internal structure exploration,problem status analysis and practice path exploration.In the part of theory analysis,on the basis of systematic review about the research progress and the development trend of youth sense of family responsibility problems and sense of responsibility education at home and abroad,the core concepts such as "youth","family","sense of social responsibility"and"sense of family responsibility"as well as the fundamental and supporting theory involved in the research are identified and analyzed.In the second part of internal structure exploration,after fully referring to character factors theory,responsibility attribution theory,the theory of responsibility psychological structure,and other related theoretical achievements involving different disciplines,the author proposes the intrinsic structure model of contemporary youth family responsibility,with family responsibility cognition,family responsibility emotion and family responsibility behavior being the framework.Besides,the theoretical hypothesis and model are tested and modified through empirical research method.The research proves that there is a significant positive relationship between the three factors(namely,family responsibility cognition,family responsibility and family responsibility behavior).Part three mainly analyzes and demonstrates the main characteristics and main influencing factors of the contemporary youth family responsibility.The research findings are as follows:(1)contemporary youth have positive and healthy sense of family responsibility as a whole.The majority of contemporary young people have a clear sense of family responsibility,positive emotions and positive behaviors.(2)There is a certain group difference in the sense of family responsibility among young people.These differences can be summarized as the group difference that form due to congenital development conditions,acquired development conditions and native family conditions.For example,female young people have stronger sense of family responsibility than male ones;married young people have stronger sense of family responsibility than unmarried ones;young people from core family have stronger sense of family responsibility than the ones from of families of three generations and above.In addition,the young people with stable work have stronger sense of family responsibility than the ones with unstable work;the older have more stable sense of family responsibility than the younger ones;the highly-educated ones have stronger sense of family responsibility.(3)There are some common problems when young people bear family responsibility.On the one hand,they have the problem of "knowledge and practice disconnection" and "more knowledge less practice" in the knowing and action of sense of family responsibility.On the other hand,young people face a lot of realistic pressure and difficulties,such as family material construction pressure,marriage and love pressure,children bearing pressure,parenting pressure,and pressure to support their parents pressure when bearing their family responsibility.(4)Many aspects cause the problems of young people's family responsibility.From the objective perspective,they are related with the decrease in the social mainstream moral values influence,the influence of the new media culture,as well as the insufficient guidance of school education and family education.From the subjective aspect,young people have excessive pursuit of individuality and freedom and lack of responsibility cultivation under the multiculture environment.The fourth part focuses on the methods and paths of young family responsibility formation on the basis of the aforementioned theoretical exploration and empirical analysis.The author argues that people should actively optimize the macro environment of the young family's responsibility cultivation;strengthen the promotion of moral civilization and promote the guidance of correct values;improve school moral education philosophy and methods,enrich the sense of responsibility education of the school and family from the aspects of content and method;improve the idea and way of family education,form a good family atmosphere and intergenerational relations,promote family virtue inheritance;deepen the consciousness and practice of individual self education,and arouse inner conscience and sense of responsibility.Centering on the macro,medium and micro levels,the core is to realize the organic unity of social education,school education,family education and personal education,and systematically and comprehensively improve the sense of family responsibility cultivation quality and level of contemporary youth.
