| Guanzi is an encyclopedic book with many contents related to natural ecology.There are pages that survey the natural ecology from the macroscopic perspective,as well as articles specifically devoted to hydroecology and edaphology.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter starts with the concept and expression of natural ecology from the viewpoint of the universe,analyzing logical tiers of the concept that sky and earth are fundamental to the natural ecology.Also,this chapter talks about the structure of the concept that natural ecology is centered on water and soil;and the differences and perspectives of the natural ecology's compositions.The author takes a point of view that in Guanzi,mankind was an organic component of the natural ecology,not excluded from it;in Guanzi,mankind was objectively evaluated,not placed on the top of natural ecological pyramid,admitting that other natural objects have strengths and people have weaknesses.These ideas have their rationality and valuable value.The second chapter expounds the writing methods of the historical articles in Guanzi,analyzes the characteristics,and compares them with other historical articles written In the pre-Qin period.This chapter focuses on analyzing the structure of articles in Guanzi which is based on the theory of five elements;the correspondences between celestial phenomena and seasons,insects and seasons,five sounds and seasons.The historical articles in Guanzi built a new structural pattern to revise the traditional concepts of insects and seasons as well as five sounds and seasons,by adopting and amending the other historical articles written In the pre-Qin period.Its purport was to take social ecology and natural ecology into the structure,and make the structure accorded to the five-element theory and mathematical logic.Thus,Guanzi accomplished the harmonious interaction between the mankind and the universe.The third chapter compares the theory of relationship between water,soil and people's nature with related literatures in the pre-Qin period.It starts with the articles of Shuidi and Diyuan,which reveal the objective supports and logical presupposition;than compares the researches in Lu's Spring and Autumn,DadaiLiji and Zhouli and Guanzi.The articles of Shuidi and Diyuan discussed the relationship between water,soil and people's nature,involving many aspects such as natural qualities,spirits,characters,appearances and even the kernel of the philosophy of life.Jinshu in Lu's Spring and Autumn,Yibenming in DadaiLiji and Dasitu in Zhouli were limited to the imagery level of the relationship between natural ecology and the life of mankind,which were lack of profundity,comparing with Shuidi in Guanzi.The fourth chapter reveals the development and utilization of Qi's natural resources and its ecological effects recorded in Guanzi.It also explains the scientific ideas and expressions of the development and utilization of natural resources;the deployments in administration;the political game of Qi's natural resources development as a bargaining chip;and the negative ecological effects.The study suggests an inevitable result of the destruction of natural ecology,because Guanzi appreciated the economic benefits solely.The fifth chapter elaborates the Qi culture characteristics of concepts and measures about natural ecological protection.It reveals the importance of Guanzi for the development of Qi,as Guanzi was born in this country.It also talks about three aspects of the research: The realistic basis for the generation of the concept of natural ecological protection;the concept of natural ecological protection and specific measures;the characteristics of Qi natural ecology,relevant bans,and the pertinence of official posts.In the opinion of the author,Guanzi has noticed the undesirable effect of the destruction of natural ecology.Even though,in Guanzi the concepts and measures of environmental protection were incomplete,it still provided salutary references for the present age. |
