This topic is the overall study of Dutch painting in the 17 th century,through the artistic taste of painting and secular life theme analysis,then the paper expounds the innovation of his painting subject and the evolution of his creation method.The main contributions of Dutch painting in the 17 th century were diversification of subjects,secularization and commercialization of painting works.This greatly satisfied the demand of all social classes for painting and had an important and positive impact on the formation of Dutch culture and civilization in the 17 th century.All this took place under the direct influence of the reformation.Starting from the painting works,this paper adopts the research method of art sociology to sort out,investigate and study the subject matter,concept and creation method of Dutch painting in the 17 th century from the perspective of the cultivation of civilization.A large number of works depicting secular life advocate family virtues,and many of them reveal rich taste of elegance,which is favored by the elite class.The aesthetic taste of elite class plays a leading role in the whole society.At the end of the 17 th century,art brokers pursued the maximization of interests and blindly sought after the works of old masters,leading to people’s enthusiasm for the works of secular painters,so the painter’s innovation was weak.Combined with the worship,learning and imitation of the French rococo art,the uniqueness of Dutch painting gradually lost.
