With the springing of unearthed Chu words materials,the unearthed literatures related to the history of Chu State is increasingly rich.In terms of content,the unearthed Chu history literatures contain Chu ancestors’ legends,pedigree,age,official system,clan,military,law,calendar,geography and many other aspects.As the core content of the handed down literature related to the Chu history,Chushijia has always been an important reference for scholars to study Chu history and to contrast with unearthed literatures.This paper attempts to use Chushijia as an outline to comprehensively collect and sort out handed down and unearthed literatures related to Chu history,and to introduce the related research results,and research the historical facts recorded in Chushijia and related literatures.This paper includes two parts:"literature compilation" and "research on relevant problems".The special research consists of five chapters:Chapter one,"The revision of the Chushijia by the unearthed literatures",analyzes and introduces the source of the literatures of Chushijia.It tries to generalize the correspondence between the unearthed literatures and Chushijia,and the supplements and corrections to Chushijia by unearthed literature in terms of lineage,geography,and human events.Chapter two,"Seeing the formation of the Chu legends from the unearthed literature",discuss the formation and evolution of Chu legends before Yuxiong(鬻熊)in the Chushijia and related literatures,and correct the records which are inconsistent with the facts in Chushijia on Chongli(重黎),Wuhui(吴回)and other Chu ancestors.Chapter three,"The interpretations of related literatures about Jilian(季连)and Xuexiong(穴熊)/Yuxiong(鬻熊)”,mainly discusses the identity of Jilian,Xuexiong/Yu xiong and interprets the differences between these three persons in related literatures.Combined with the fact that Jiian,Xuexiong and Yuxiong are one person’s names showed by Chu bamboo slips of Warring States collected by Anhui University,it is proved that the record of Yuxiong serving King Wen of Zhou(周文王)in Chushjia is not a historical fact,but layer accumulated old history.Chapter four,"The analysis of Xiongqu(熊渠)whom had three sons combines the handed down and unearthed literatures",tries to interpret the problem that Xiongqu had three sons and the lineages from Xiongqu to Xiongyan(熊延).Besides,this chapter also tries to demonstrate it is not a historical fact that Xiongqu had three sons.Chapter five,"The discriminating of the material of Chu chronicle",we collect and sort out the materials relate to the Chu chronology of events,and conduct research on the relevant era.Second part,the literature compilation is consist of feight chapters.It is based on Chushijia as a clue,sorted by age,and comprehensively list handed down and unearthed literatures.It mainly includes the legends of the Chu ancestors recorded in Chushijia or not,the kings’ names of the Chu,the speeches and events of the Chu kings,the events of Chu history,the important characters,and so on.The handed down literatures mainly include the literatures before the Han Dynasty.The first chapter is the introduction of the early history of Chu,which are from Yellow Emperor(黄帝)to Fenmao(昐冒).The second chapter collects and records the Chu history literatures of the periods ruled by King Wu of Chu(楚武王)and King Wen(文王).The third chapter records the periods ruled by Zhuangao(庄敖),King Cheng(成王)and King Mu(穆王).The fourth chapter records the periods ruled by King Zhuang(庄王)and King Gong(共王).Thefifth chapter records the periods ruled by King Kang(康王)and Jiaao(郊敖).The sixth chapter records the periods ruled by King Ping(平王),King Zhao(昭王),and King Hui(惠王).The seventh chapter records the periods ruled by King Jian(简王),King Sheng(声王),King Dao(悼王),King Su(肃王),King Xuan(宣王),and King Wei(威王).The eighth chapter records the periods ruled by the King Huai(怀王),King Qingxiang(顷襄王),King Kaolie(考烈王),King You(幽王),and the last king Fuchu(负刍).The examinations and explanations of related issues are written in forms of comments under the corresponding literature entry.
