The Internet,which provides vast amounts of information and low-cost means of production promotes the global rise and development of maker movement.The transformations of organizational structure and of the mode of production and consumption triggered by the Internet considerably facilitate people’s creation activities.The Internet makes it possible to conduct ―joint manufacturing‖ resulting from the extension of people’s association spaces and their collaboration platform.In addition,it calls on an increasing number of people to share their originality on the Internet and to attract more people to cooperate so that ―made by the public‖ becomes a reality.Besides,the network effect constantly frees people’s minds,thus ordinary people can have access to the problems which could only be solved by the minority.For the first time,human beings achieve group conversation and group action through a medium – the Internet on which joint manufacturing has been developing and the Maker Movement has been surging.The characteristics of Maker Movement include digital "DIY",the openness of technical support,small batch production,the popularization of innovation and user de-massified.DIY production and entrepreneurship are the two main modes of Maker Movement,and the effective combination of them is the best mode to achieve the future development of Maker Movement.The Maker Movement integrates the Internet and manufacturing tightly and launches a new era of customized manufacturing,DIY and innovation.It has a profound influence on the mode of production and the means of labor,and creates a supportive environment for human development.It is mainly manifested in four aspects: first,the Maker Movement provides people with self-production tools,including incessant emerging open source software and hardware,therefore people obtain the ability to control the means of production;second,the labor objects are shifted from "heavy-assets" to "lite-assets",in
