A Study Of Scheler’s Christian Philosophy

In the development of modern philosophy,Scheler’s thought spreads in phenomenology,ethics,sociology of knowledge,philosophical anthropology and many other fields,but Scheler as a Christian philosopher has not been fully revealed.To truly understand Scheler’s philosophical creation,unique status and significance,we must enter into Scheler’s Christian philosophy.Scheler’s Christian philosophy is the deep foundation and internal source of Scheler’s whole thought.By discussing the faith dimension,value dimension and reality dimension of Scheler’s Christian philosophy,this paper reveals the overall framework and multi-dimensional connotation of Scheler’s Christian philosophy.Scheler established a Christian philosophical standpoint of existentialism fideism through his phenomenological attitude and philosophy of life.On the basis of existential belief supported by this phenomenological attitude,Scheler demonstrates the importance of God’s existence and revelation,criticizes the concept of death of modern people,and advocates the religious belief of eternal personality.At the same time,he puts forward a value concept with the order of innate values as the core.Scheler’s Christian philosophy has a strong realistic concern and social and historical orientation.He deeply analyzes and criticizes the crisis of capitalist modernity,and points out that the root of the crisis lies in the disorder of human mind and Social disorder.Scheler advocates the restoration of Christian faith and the ethics of Christian love,and the establishment of Christian socialism to solve the crisis of modernity.Scheler’s Christian philosophy is of great significance in the development of Christian philosophy,which absorbs the essence of traditional religious thought to meet the needs of the development of modern society and establishes a new paradigm of religious understanding.And Scheler’s Christian philosophy reconstructs metaphysics under the trend that modern philosophy generally rejects metaphysics and provides people with the ultimate basis,explanation and significance;in reality,Scheler puts forward his original views and solutions to the crisis of modernity,but his thoughts only focus on spiritual value and ignore material value.Inevitably,there is imagination,which limits its ideological development.
