The aim of this paper is to provide a standard for reflecting present situation of College English education,and provide a direction for reform of College English education,by proposing an authentic existence of College English education.At present,the alienation of College English learning has even become a common phenomenon in China.It means that College English learning activities which originally belonged to"human" have become a force to oppress and control human.The rich meaning of College English learning has been replaced by mechanical indoctrination.The spirit world of human is twisted by uniform knowledge teaching.The four root causes of College English learning alienation are the substantialism,the instrumental rational values of modern industrialized society,the theory of regarding language as communicative instrument and the utilitarianism learning value.In order to overcome the alienation phenomenon in College English learning and restore the dominantposition of College English learners,we need to find a way out from the perspective of Understanding.We interprets the standard of College English learning from the perspective of Understanding to realize the authentic existence of English learners in College English learning and revive the essential meaning of College English learning as the way that human relate to the foreign world.This study attempts to break through the limitations of previous studies,this part mainly follows the train of thought from:"historical review-practical exploration-rational speculation-reality speculation" to conduct in-depth study.The main writing route of this part is to analyze the basic situation of College English learning since 1949,to generalize the three patterns of College English learning after liberation,the basic features and existing crises of these three patterns,and finally to sum up that the common influence of these three kinds of College English learning forms on reality in three stages is the self-distortion of the College English learners.Then,adopting the research method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis,this paper exhaustively analyzes the realistic conditions of College English learning practices of the learners,based on the data from the questionnaire survey and individual interviews.By analysis through comparison,induction,and summary of all the data,we extract the present College English learning has the following phenomenal characteristics of "meaning" crisis:the alienation between College English learners and themselves,the alienation between College English learners and language text,to forget the existence of the College English learners.By revealing the "meaning" crisis of current College English learning,rethinking the deep the reasons of meaninglessness,it is found that there are a variety of problems in College English learning,which bound to alienation to some degree.Therefore,the reconstruction of the authentic existence of College English learning is imperative.In view of this,this paper treats "understanding rationality" as the effective ways that can make College English learning goes out the crisis.Understanding is the core notion of philosophical hermeneutics.Philosophical hermeneutics,as a philosophy of interpreting the humanities,focuses on the relationship between the existence of individual life and the history,culture and tradition.Through the interpretation of "text",it explores the understanding of the existence of life.It also provides us with a new horizon to pursue the authenticity of College English learning.It doesn't aim to completely repudiate the present College English learning from the perspective of understanding.It aims to make the College English learning as a process for College English learners' self-realization,self-development and self-actualization,rather than beyond learners' alien labor.Meanwhile,the reconstruction of College English learning from the perspective of understanding cannot be built overnight but be "on the way".In pursuit of the authentic existence of College English learning in the perspective of "understanding",this paper reconstructs the various understanding relationships in College English learning from the perspective of understanding.Taking the learners as the origin and the destination,the last chapter spreads out from the following dimensions:the foundation of College English learning to be authentic existence is the learning subjects into subjective understanding;the process of College English learning to be authentic existence is learners and text into experiential understanding;the aim of College English learning to be authentic existence is learners and themselves into reflective understanding;the revelation of College English learning to be authentic existence is teachers,learners and text into co-existed understanding.Fundamentally said,the purpose of college English learning into understanding is "spirit constructing",richness of life world and abundance of life of teachers and students.The ultimate objective directs the "qualitative" promotion of college English learning.
