This dissertation tends to extract the factors that play an important role in the contemporary landscape painting found in Gong Xian’s landscape language research.It is necessary to implement the concept that the visual thinking must be implemented in the visual sense to capture its artistic characteristics,and explore the Gong Xian’s formal painting languages.First of all,in the ontology category of art,Gong Xian’s formal language is explored by its causes,forms and the schema structure and the modern nature of its schemata and formal languages is researched.A logical internal consistency is found from the conversion of the visual elements of light to the generation of black and white ideas.This dissertation gradually derives some areas of enlightenment from the existential forms of Gong Xian’s formal language,and analyzes the modern significance of the formal elements of the picture one painting by one corresponding paragraph.The areas covered by this must be supported by some topics in Gong Xian’s landscape paintings.For example,Gong Xian’s formal language comes from the perception of natural landscapes.Gong Xian’s understanding of the "environment" and the“atmosphere” can be perceived from his painting Landscape of Qixia Temple,and what the scenery means to painting itself can be understood by us.Rocks and mountains are important topics of the landscape paintings during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,which are intimately linked with Gong Xian’s artworks and thus are also mentioned.Withered willows even forests are often Gong Xian’s motif of paintings,which is very interesting and should not be ignored in the study of its screen structure and formal language exploration.The formal research supported by these topics ultimately boils down to the form of his parallel outlines,the beauty of the form of repetition,the ensemble of whole-pieces,the integrity and rhythm of the edges,and the internal beauty of his vigorous figure.This article focuses on the formal language of Gong Xian’s landscape paintings.It is the modern form factor that is opened by its characteristics,or the modern factor in the formal language of Gong Xian’s landscape paintings.A dominant clue,when Gong Xian’s summarizing the forms of painting languages,is his cognition and discovery of the tradition and nature,and the manifestation of the quality sense of the ink.Ink accumulation and light ink show Gong Xian’s articulation of the truth of art,which is also the clue of the author’s dissertation.
