Since the new film movement,Taiwanese films with critical spirit reflected the real world and showed the strong style of the director.In general,it makes the Taiwanese film have high artistic standard;but in other hand,it is a great challenge for the audiences’ aesthetics acceptance.The significant conflict between artistic and commercial made the Taiwanese film downturn long time.To change the continuing hardship situation of the Taiwanese film,Taiwan film industry and the entire cultural community are exploring the new development way,some effects are achieved.The 21st century Taiwanese film with new images is showing great vigor and hope.Whether on subject choice,ideological connotations and aesthetic form,new features on the 21st century Taiwanese film are appeared clearly to meet the development requirement of new times,it is exhibited the Taiwan filmmakers’ reflection and exploration for Taiwanese film development way under the challenges and opportunities of new times.General speaking,it is expressed diversification characteristic on the 21st century Taiwanese film,not only the minority narrative of art film is existed,but also the expression of the popular commercial films.However,almost of the 21st century films are escaped from the extreme case on art and commercialization,both of art and commercialization are integrated into the films to develop the new image and form of the 21st century Taiwanese film.This article is try to use the text analysis method to state the ideological connotation and aesthetic form of the 21st century Taiwanese film to clarify and highlight its diversified general characteristics.This article is divided into five chapters and mainly to discuss the specific expression of themes and aesthetic characteristic of Taiwanese film in the 21st century from following five aspects,the survival predicament of characters in film,feminist consciousness,youth story,warmth characteristic and comedy.The first chapter focuses on the various survival predicaments of characters in the 21st century Taiwanese film and tries to find the reason of these predicaments,to discuss the realism feelings in film.The survival predicaments of characters in the 21st century Taiwanese film could be divided into two types roughly,social difficulties and human predicament.Incomplete family,small social space and uncertain identity build the survival predicaments of characters to show the existence truth of social difficulties;hopeless and tangled survival prospect,embarrassed and helpless life itself,and unbalanced spiritual world reveal the existence essence of human predicament from superorganic aspect.The expression and reflection about the survival predicaments of characters are strong practical relevance to increase the culture connotation and enrich the spiritual levels of Taiwanese film.The second chapter focuses on the image of female in the 21st century Taiwanese film via the analysis of the female character’s ideology,behavior pattern and psychology to analyze the feminist consciousness from self-consciousness awaking,independent female without anaclisis,confident image display and continuous self-improvement.The self-consciousness awaking and removal anaclisis are the basic precondition to develop the feminist consciousness,it makes important sense for women to get the economy and soul independence and themselves dignity,and the women will be full of great confidence for their life,so they are able to control and grasp their emotions,work and life;with the long time experience to constantly improvement,they are becoming more wise and powerful,this is the superior display and further improvement of female consciousness.Under the business social background,the possibility to make the women become goods is bigger,the inner rich value and human nature of female are covered completely by external visual enjoyment.So the feminist consciousness highlights and emphasis in the 21st century Taiwanese film have important practical significance.The female image on these films will provide more reference and reflection for the women in true life.The third chapter is mainly to combine the living conditions and growth process of teenagers in the 21st century Taiwanese film to find the youth culture and spirit ideals.Two different aesthetic styles for the youth expression in the 21st century Taiwanese film,one is exciting and another one is sentimental.Two different styles are connected with different content.The emphasis on self-actualization spiritual ideals,the insistence on individuality and the long for freedom are composed the exciting youth melody.But the trauma experience in youth and the arduous and tortuous growth process are developed the sentimental keynote.No matter which one level,this kind of multiply youth expression is easy to lead the audience come into being emotional resonance.The popular culture background played a great role in promoting the youth expression in the 21st century Taiwanese film.The fourth chapter comprehensive analyzes the warm characteristic in the 21st century Taiwanese film through the various rich emotion presentations such as nostalgia,affection,love,etc.and the tradition culture connotation in film.The relationship between people is becoming utilitarianism under the exchange ethics in business social.The nostalgia,affection and touching love story in the 21st century Taiwanese film will give a presentation to purify the soul and spiritual consolation with high aesthetic film.In addition,both communication and harmony of interpersonal relationship,love and toleration of humanity expression show the deep traditional culture connotation.It is not only build the warm characteristic in film,but also make the watching movie process like a culture baptism with emotional influence and thought infiltration.The warm characteristic in the 21st century Taiwanese film is one kind of expression of Taiwan localization under the globalization background.The fifth chapter analyzes the comedy of the 21st century Taiwanese film in detail from two aspects,the usual comedy technique and different comedy aesthetic category.The comedy techniques such as gentle satire,subversion of traditional ideas,arrested and drastic changed story are used usually in the 21st century Taiwanese film;the black humor and frantic farce are two common comedy types.More and more comedy elements in the 21st century Taiwanese film are the huge breakthrough of Taiwanese film and make it far away from the "tragic" label;new changes on subject matter choice and aesthetic style make the Taiwanese film more close to the watching requirement in modern social.The epilogue concludes this article and makes the proposal for the development trend of Taiwanese film to expect the Taiwanese film with diversification win more attention,thinking and analyzing the existing issues of the 21st century Taiwanese film.
