Comparative Study On Traditional Identification Methods Of Tibetan Medicine And Related Fields

On this magical and vast of snow land,Tibetan people have created a complete medical system with their unique characteristics by drawing on their generations of accumulated medical experience and absorbing the medical essence of neighboring area.Tibetan medicine identification is an important part of this system."The earliest disease is indigestion,the most primitive medicine is boiled water,and the first medical treatment is lhathang ba."This shows that the practice of Tibetan medicine started from the practice of pharmacy in a sense.Tibetan people gradually accumulated medical knowledge and experience,and learned to use the eyes.ears.nose,tongue and other senses to identify the nature of plants,animals and minerals,so as to identify the availability of drugs and toxic,non-toxic,etc.,gradually formed the "medicine" perceptual knowledge.After continuous accumulation and development,compiled many herbal medicine works.They were the initial knowledge of Tibetan medicine identification,and still serve as the main basis for identifying the authenticity of Tibetan medicine.However,different opinions have been expressed on drug records.In order to solve this problem,a unified and standardized method for Tibetan medicine identification is urgently needed.So I chose this topic to inherit and improve the basic methods for traditional Tibetan medicine identification.It will become a theoretical basic reference for beginners in Tibetan medicine.This paper is divided into three parts in structure,and its main contents are summarized as follows:Part one has five subtitles:1.To describe the origin,development and status quo of Tibetan medicine identification methods.2.To sum up the experience of the masters in Tibetan medicine research and their contributions to the establishment and development of the theory of Tibetan medicine identification.3.It mainly discusses the inheritance and teaching of Tibetan medicine identification methods and the teaching places as well as the teaching situations.4.It mainly analyzes the reasons for the formation of different factions in Tibetan medicine and their advantages and disadvantages to the unification and standardization of Tibetan medicine identification.5.It mainly summarized the characteristics and special identification methods of herbal medicines of various dynasties,which provided a theoretical basis for summarizing the methods of Tibetan medicine identification.Part two:Through the comparative analysis of the classical medicinal herbs books in past dynasties,five basic methods of Tibetan medicine identification were summarized.1.Naming and identification of Tibetan medicines.It is concluded that the naming and identification of Tibetan medicine is the basis of the preliminary research on the basic information of Tibetan medicine.2.Identification of the origin of Tibetan medicine,analysis and research from two aspects of origin and habitat,first of all,the origin of Tibetan medicine not only includes the Tibetan region,but also many drugs produced in the mainland and foreign countries,understand the origin of Tibetan medicine can not only identify the medicinal materials,but also can determine the pros and cons of them.3.Character identification.It is the most important identification method of Tibetan medicine.Through the analysis of traditional Chinese herbal medicine,six identification methods are summarized,including color identification,shape identification,sex and taste identification,sound identification,smell identification and touch identification.4.Water test and fire test identification.It is a method to identify the varieties of certain Tibetan medicines by using various physical and chemical phenomena after they are exposed to water or fire.5.Evaluation of advantages and disadvantages.The advantages and disadvantages of drugs under the special theory of Tibetan medicine were analyzed.Part three:Through the comparative study of two representative herbal medicine books,the content of the first two books and the theory of Tibetan medicine identification were further explained,and more than 50 drugs with different identification methods in the two books were compared and studied in accordance with the identification method theory mentioned in the second part,and personal views were clarified.In a word,the traditional identification method of Tibetan medicine is a summary of experience obtained by generations of Tibetan medicine experts through continuous practice and accumulation.The identification method is simple,convenient,rapid,accurate and of high use value.It is an important part of Tibetan medicine and a scientific method derived from people's understanding of all things in the natural world in this special environment of Tibet.Through a large number of literature search and expert consultation,field trips,the paper uses methods such as classification,contrast to carry on the research,and summarizes the existing medical books of traditional identification methods,and the appraisal method of interpretation of medicine is a complete and theoretical system of a Tibetan pharmacy.
