A Comparative Study Of Shicai School And Menghe School In Treating Diseases Of The Kidney System

Objectives:To compare the similarities and differences of the historical,regional and cultural background of the Shicai School and the Menghe School,and also comparing the similarities and differences of the Shicai School and the Menghe School in the academic thought of differentiating and treating kidney diseases,to explore the feasibility of mutual learning between schools,so as to provide a reference for the transverse study of the Chinese medical school.Methods:By consulting local chronicles,medical records of past dynasties,writings of the Shicai School and the Menghe School,the era of doctors and inheritance of the school's doctors are clarified,the transverse study of the origin,formation,inheritance and social background between the both schools are carried out.Taking four families of Menghe school,Zou Yunxiang,who is the originator of nephropathy in traditional Chinese medicine,Zhu Liangchun,Zou Yanqin,Professor Sun Wei and some representative physicians of the Shicai School for objects of study,and using their seventy-seven books as data sources to collect medical records,medical theories and medical records about "LinZheng","ShuiZhong","NiaoXue","YiJing" and to extract the information of pathogenesis,treatment,prescriptions and medicines.By using the method of literature comparison,the similarities and differences between the two schools were compared,and the reasons for their difference were analyzed.Conclusion:The Shicai School and Menghe School originated in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and they were located in Suzhou and Changzhou of "Wudi",respectively,which both in the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal valley.Both the academic schools were formed,Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty,and the formation of schools was influenced by traditional culture(Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism),economy(prosperity of Jiangnan region)and other factors.They have been inherited vividly till now.In the process of inheritance,The Shicai School and Menghe School enriched and perfected their academic ideas and formed their own academic characteristics.In the differentiation and treatment of kidney diseases("LinZheng" "ShuiZhong""NiaoXue" "YiJing"),there are characteristics of identical diseases,different treatment and differentiation;but there are similarities in the use of local drugs and characteristic drugs.Significance:Academic schools of traditional Chinese medicine have always been the focus of TCM research.Different schools have their own academic opinions on differentiation and treatment of specific diseases.However,the interaction and sharing between different schools are insufficient,and horizontal comparative studies are rare.To a certain extent,this project can play an exemplary role in the future horizontal research of academic schools of TCM,promote the exchange of academic schools,learn from each other's strengths and make up for the weaknesses,and conduce to continuous development and innovation of TCM theory.
