Climate change and urbanization have a profound impact on human survival and development,and how to deal with climate change has become a major challenge facing the world.As a complex dynamic system,urban is composed of many factors.Urban space,as the "first resource of the urban,is the carrier of human environment and human activities,and its structure influences climate change and urban development.Coastal cities as densely populated,land and sea junctions,climate change and rapid urbanization superposition,dramatic changes in urban spatial structure,global warming,sea level rise,frequent meteorological disasters,urban climate load intensified,both urban spatial structure model can not cope.How to understand space,analyze space,evaluate space and optimize space through technology and method and adapt to climate change,is the key to cope with the sustainable development of climate change.Based on the domestic and international scientific development trends of climate change,in view of the rapid urbanization process of coastal cities in China,the climate change and urban spatial structure of the stress,risk and impact of urban spatial structure need to optimize the transformation and lack of scientific methods and adaptations,effective Application mode.In this paper,to address climate change as the goal,to the urban spatial structure as the object,based on GIS,DPSIR,Gray relational entropy method,state space method and complex adaptive system theory(CAS),from the external force adaptation,internal force adaptation and comprehensive adaptation level,the paper studies the technology and method of coastal city structure adaptation optimization based on risk control,climate bearing and climate adaptation,and taking Xiamen as a case city,to carry out the research on the spatial structure adaptation model of coastal cities in response to climate change.The main contents are as follows:(1)The First,"What is the response to climate change in urban spatial structure adaptation?" To deal with climate change in urban spatial structure adaptation theory and conceptual model research.(2)The Second,"Why should we respond to climate change in the coastal city of space structure adaptation model research?”Coastal urban climate change and spatial structure evolution scenarios and relationships.(3)The third,"How to evaluate the meteorological disaster risk and spatial division?" This paper adapt to external forces-risk assessment and spatial division of meteorological disasters in coastal cities.(4)The forth,this paper research on " How to evaluate the urban climate bearing capacity and spatial distribution?" To adapt to internal forces-study on evaluation of climate carrying capacity and spatial distribution in coastal cities.(5)Finally,"how to adapt to climate change in urban spatial structure adaptation optimization?" and study on climate adaptation model of coastal cities in response to climate change.
