The aviation actuator is the main component of the flight control system.It executes the instructions of the flight control system to adjust the flight attitude,and its performance directly affects the flying quality of the aircraft.The linear actuator is one of the core components of an aerospace aircraft.It is a technical problem to solve the disadvantages of mechanical seizure,low reliability,and thrust force density.This paper proposes a Magnetic Screw Linear Actuator(MSLA)with high force density and high reliability based on the magnetic screw transmission.Moreover,the MSLA was integrated with Permanent Magnet(PM)motor to build a Magnetic Screw Electric Actuator(MSEA).The research content of this paper include the operation of MSLA,novel structures,design and manufacture of helical magnetic poles,magnetic field modulation of MSLA,magnetic decouples,and experimental verifications and so on.The main research results of this paper include the following aspects:1.Based on the characteristics of MSLA,the helical magnetic pole is studied.Then,based on the mathematical model,the improvement principles of thrust force and reliability are analyzed.Moreover,the operating principle of MSLA is revealed,and the transmission principles of “Torque-force” and “Angle-displacement” are pointed out.The dimension equation and electromagnetic thrust equation of the MSLA are deduced to determine the key parameters,which provides theoretical basis and technical reference for the general optimization design of MSLA.2.Several new MSLAs are proposed and designed,such as embedded magnet structure,Halbach array,and hybrid structure.The performance of various topologies such as operating principle,thrust force,torque,electromagnetic efficiency,and PM demagnetization are analyzed.The design ideas for the high-performance MSLA are provided.3.In order to reduce the processing difficulty of the helical magnetic poles,the magnetic resistance design,surface-mounted dovetail design,and surface embedded design are proposed.The high-performance PM materials are used to achieve the integrity,high-remanence and high-roundness of the helical magnetic poles.The number of segments of the PM is reduced,and the processing accuracy and manufacturing process of the helical magnetic poles are significantly improved.It solves the difficult problem of manufacturing high-performance helcial magnetic poles.4.The magnetic field modulation MSLA is proposed.The concept of magnetic field modulation is introduced into the helical PM magnetic field.The amount of translator PM is reduced,and the linear motion stroke is improved.The magnetic field distribution and harmonic content of each part of the magnetic field modulation MSLA are deduced,and the operation principle the magnetic field modulation MSLA is analyzed.The magnetic field modulation type MSLA structure not only meets the modulation in the circumferential direction,but also the modulation relationship in the linear direction.5.The MSEA actuation system is proposed to form a new structure that is mechanically coupled and decoupled from the magnetic circuit.The selection and design principles of PM rotary machine are expounded,and the influence of key factors such as the magnetization direction of the PM,mechanical assembly,and bearing selected on the electromagnetic performance of the MSEA are analyzed.Moreover,the nonlinear damping in the magnetic coupling transmission is analyzed,the equivalent mathematical model of MSEA is established,and the dynamic performance of MSEA is analyzed.6.A surface-mounted MSLA prototype was manufactured and a test platform was built to measure the thrust force and “angle-displacement”.In addition,a prototype of the MSEA was manufacture and processed,and the software and hardware experimental test platform was built.The no-load back EMF,thrust force,torque and dynamic reciprocation are measured.The experimental results verifie the correctness of the MSEA.
