Research On The Urban Relics Park Soundscape Design In The Northwest China

Urban relic parks provide leisure and recreational functions for the general population.It is also necessary to fully consider and meet the needs of site protection and display.There are abundant relics in Northwest China,and the natural geography,climate and ecological environment is also very special.The landscape design of urban relics park is more special,and it is difficult to systematically study and apply the soundscape theory.Through investigation,test,subjective and objective evaluation,this paper takes the urban relics parks in Northwest China as the research object,has studied the evaluation method of soundscape comfort,generated the soundscapes deign theory to provide guidance for soundscape design of urban Relics Parks.Firstly,the author carries out a literature review study on soundscape and relics park,especially on the literature of modern soundscape theory.The evaluation methods of soundscape at home and abroad are studied in depth.The author has studied the research results of soundscape in classical gardens in the city such as Suzhou,Hangzhou and Beijing,to provide guidance for soundscape design method of urban relics parks.In this paper,the basic information collection and collation of urban relics parks in Northwest china.The selected parks cover Shaanxi,Gansu,Ningxia,Qinghai and Xinjiang.After fully obtaining the sound and landscape data of urban relics parks in Northwest China,five typical urban relics parks,one from each of the above provinces,were selected for field investigation and testing.Through field investigation and testing,valuable first-hand information of five typical parks in Northwest China,such as soundscape types and landscape design techniques,were acquired.This work aims to examine selection of indicators and assessment model to characterize soundscape quality by use of physical environmental factors.This research proposes and applies a comprehensive methodology for multidimensional variables(i.e.temperature difference,humidity,illuminance ratio and wind velocity)of physical environment in soundscape.The field study was carried out through surveys and measurement in Qingcheng Mountain of China,that are used together to objectively describe the soundscape quality.The multidimensional variables(i.e.temperature difference,humidity and illuminance ratio)of physical environment in landscape have been supposed to calculate the soundscape comfort indicator(SSssd).This study shows that the close match between the model results and perceptional response of the tourists confirms the proposed model as an effective tool for the study.The GIS contour of the value of indicators(SSssd)of Qingcheng Mountain is mapped for the direct and comprehensive evaluation the soundscape quality of the landscape and scenic regions.This assessment model provides theoretical guidance and quantitative tools for further development of soundscape design and optimizing studies.Combined with the evaluation method of soundscape comfort proposed by the study,this paper has analyzed the soundscape comfort indicators and the typical soundscape types and landscape design techniques of landscape nodes of the five urban relics parks.The characteristics and features of soundscape and landscape design of urban relics parks in Northwest China has been revealed and refined.Guidelines for sound landscape design of urban relics parks in Northwest China have been compiled.Takes Daming Palace National Relics Park,a typical urban relics park of Tang Dynasty in Northwest China,as a case,this paper has undertaken the application study on the sound landscape design in urban relics Parks.The author has carried out on-site investigation and testing of Daming Palace National Relics Park.Based on the proposed soundscape comfort evaluation model,soundscape comfort indicator of each landscape nodes in Daming Palace National Relics Park has been analyzed.Combined with above soundscape design guideline,this paper has undertaken the analysis and optimization on the soundscape of the Daming Palace landscape node.This work has verified the relevant research results.It provides a reference for the soundscape design of urban relics parks in Northwest China.Combined objective indicators with subjective investigation results,it can reveal the characteristics and analyze advantages and disadvantages of soundscape more clearly.Thusly,the theory and assessment method of soundscape design in urban relics park are easy to be proposed.This research includes not only the design principles but also the practical design guideline.To sum up,this paper has studied intensively the characteristics of sound landscape of urban relics parks in Northwest China,and has proposed the theory and assessment model of soundscape design in urban relics park.Aimed to improve the subjective comfort of urban relics parks,the comprehensive design theory and method has been put forward through theoretical exploration and empirically study.The theory and method has been applied to the optimization design of soundscape in the typical urban relics park,the general design methods for improving the quality of soundscape has been summarized in order to improve the ecological auditory environment of urban relics Parks and improve the built environment.
