| Urban road pedestrian signage system is a system rooted in the and co-existence with the city;its development and problems are closely related to the historical development,planning methods,morphological characteristics and management modes of the city.At present,the major cities in China are constructing at different levels.As the old city transformation,the expanding of new town,buildings are becoming more and more intensive,urban road network is increasingly complex.By using more and more viaduct,overpasses,pedestrian bridge,escalators,tunnel and other transportation facilities,movement between city has developed from the previous single-level movement to multi-level movement and the city also upgraded from "plane" to "stereo".Complex dense space environment makes people as if place oneself in a huge maze,using reference such as buildings,roads,section of a city to cognitive space environment is becoming more and more difficult,"difficult to find the path" has become a problem in many cities in China.However,in the face of a more complex and diverse space environment,Hong Kong can solve the problem of "finding the way" through the construction of the road pedestrian signage system.Every city has its own unique growth trajectory;even same imagines of the city,problems of each city cannot be solved in the same way.Hong Kong urban road pedestrian signage system is easy to use and has perfect functions,which attributes to "Intensive" way of planning,"compact" urban form,efficient and meticulous management mode of "small government" city.Compared with the city road pedestrian signage system in Hong Kong,there are problems of insufficient information,lack of information continuity,and scattered information carrier design in Wuhan.There are not only the restriction that caused by subjective factors,such as unclear management responsibilities and management subject,small investment and low efficiency of public facilities of the urban management pattern of "big government" but also the influence which caused by objective factors such as "expansion" urban planning,"decentralized" urban form and single user group of structure to the road pedestrian signage system.In view of this,the article makes a comparative study on the city road pedestrian signage system in Hong Kong and Wuhan,and its purpose is not to compare both the merits of the guide.To link the two different historical and cultural backgrounds,urban planning,urban form and urban management,and other factors,to explore the differences of their signage and the reasons formed the various differences,to discuss how to refer reasonably are the main purposes of the article research. |
