Research concerning satellite reconnaissance and anti-reconnaissance technology on ground-based missile launching targets is a large, complex task.Individuals studying this subject not only need to have knowledge of satellite reconnaissance(including satellite coverage, probability of satellite reconnaissance, etc.),understanding of satellite reconnaissance simulation software(e.g.,STK),but also need to know some objective characteristics of missile launching targets(e.g.,electronic & magnetic properties, optical properties and movement characteristics). In addition,we also need to have knowledge of synthetic aperture radar, necessary optical imaging, and information countermeasure. As background based on the needs of a domestic organism, detailed research of satellite reconnaissance and anti-reconnaissance technology on ground-based missile launching targets is conducted in this paper, consisting mainly of the following aspects:1?The basic theory of satellite reconnaissance is introduced. We begin by focusing on the establishment of a satellite reconnaissance coordinate system, the division of a satellite orbit and the introduction of the orbital elements of satellites. This is followed by the methods of conversion between the orbital elements of satellites and the rectangular coordinate system. Finally, according to the ideal approximation and the actual interference of satellite movement, the theory of two body motion and perturbation motion is illustrated.2?The calculation of the latitude, longitude and trajectory about the sub-point of a satellite on earth is discussed from two different aspects.First,we do not consider the influence of the earth's rotation and perturbation.Second,we then consider the influence of the earth's rotation and perturbation, and the relationship of angle and coverage between the reconnaissance satellite and a ground-based missile launching target. We continue with the measurement theory concerning the satellite covering a ground-based missile launching target.3? The detailed study of the reconnaissance probability of an imaging satellite on a ground-based missile launching target has been conducted and is discussed from two aspects.First,we examine the reconnaissance probability of an imaging satellite on a fixed missile launching position or a group of static missiles launching vehicles.Second,we examine the reconnaissance probability of an imaging satellite on a moving region of missile launching vehicles. In the first part,we establish the basic model of satellite reconnaissance from the satellite reconnaissance interval and the character of ground targets, etc.Next, the recognizing model of ground targets is discussed from an optical satellite(including visible light and infrared)and synthetic aperture radar satellite. Finally, the basic model of a satellite recognizing a missile launching target is established. In the second part,we assume that the motion model for a missile launching vehicle is the normal distribution model, according to the theory of probability and mathematical statistics. The potential area of a moving missile launching vehicle over a period is constructed, and combined with the above satellite detecting probability theory, the basic model of probability that an imaging satellite detects a moving missile launching vehicle is established.4?Lacrosse SAR satellites detecting missile launching targets is simulated by STKsimulation software, respectively from the angle of a single satellite and a satellite constellation.A relative comparison is conducted between missile launching targets including a static missile launching vehicle,a static missile launching train,a fixed missile launching position or a group of missile launching vehicles,a moving missile launching vehicle, the potential area of a moving missile launching vehicle and the coverage ratios of a satellite on different targets.A reliable simulation result is obtained and it is useful for establishing a comprehensive satellite reconnaissance system.5?The anti-satellite reconnaissance technologies of ground-based missile launching targets have been divided into active attack and passive protection.Considering the actual situation of a ground-based missile launching target, the passive protection methods are studied, and anti-satellite technologies by a missile launching target are discussed in detail from the angle of active jamming and passive jamming.Active jamming is divided into oppressive jamming and deception jamming.Considering the actual situation of a missile launching target, the article focuses on oppressive interference, and the comparison research is conducted among radio frequency noise interference, noise amplitude modulating interference, noise frequency modulating interference and noise phase modulating interference. In passive jamming,anti-satellite reconnaissance measures are firstly introduced such as camouflage, deception and so on,and then chaff interference was researched in detail. Finally, combining the above analysis, the suggestion of anti-satellite reconnaissance of missile launching targets is given.
