The insect subfamily Idiocerinae belongs to the family Cicadellidae of Hemiptera. It contains nearly 800 species in 112 genera, and widely distributed in all the zoogeographical realms. The Idiocerinae is the largest known member of the arboreal leafhopper. Some species of Idiocerinae are important economic pests. The Asian-Pacific fauna of Idiocerinae is extraordinarily rich. However, the systematic study of Asian-Pacific Idiocerinae has not been exhaustively studied. The present dissertation comprehensively deals with the systematic of Idiocerinae from Asian-Pacific region. The research history of Idiocerinae is briefly outlined. The general morphology of Idiocerinae is introduced.Based on the morphological and molecular data, the phylogeny on Idiocerinae is reconstructed.Genera and species of Idiocerinae from AsianPacific region are revised. The primary achievements of present dissertation as follows:1.Based on the morphological data, the phylogenetic relationship among the idiocerine genera is reconstructed. The subfamily Idiocerinae and Eurymelinae constitute a monophyletic clade. The monophyly of the tribe Megipocerini is not supported. The interspecific phylogeny of the controversial genus Amritodus is reconstructed for the first time and find the genus Amritodus is a paraphyletic group.Four former Amritodus species from China do not belong to the genus and therefore transferred to a new genus Paramritodus gen.n..Furthermore,the interspecific phylogeny of the genera Jogocerus and the Wiloatma are clarified for the first time and result support that the genera Jogocerus and Wiloatma are monophyletic clades. The relationship of species of the genus Jogocerus and Wiloatma are expound.2.Based on molecular data, the phylogeny of Idiocerinae are studies for the first time with 5 genes(H3,H2 A,COI,16 S rDNA and 28 S rDNA).The result is similar with that inferred from the morphological data. The subfamily Idiocerinae and subfamily Eurymelinae constitute a monophyletic clade. The subfamily Macropsinae is assigned to be the sister of the monophyletic clade.3.There have described 119 species in 45 genera of Idiocerinae from Asian-Pacific region, including 5 new genera,20 new species,1 new synonyms and 5 new combinations.Three known species not sort to genera are more completely described and illustrated for the first time. The Asian-Pacific idiocerine genera are comprehensively revised. The keys to the Asian-Pacific idiocerine genera and species are provided. The habitus and the illustrations of the morphological characters are given for each species.References, plate, appendix, the world checklist of Idiocerinae, acknowledgements and CV of the author are attached at the end of this dissertation. The new taxa are listed as follows:New genera: Dorsudus,Fibrus,Paramritodus,Philippogalla,Stritodus.New species: Anidiocerus fasciatus,Busoniomimus aquilus,Busoniomimus curvipenis,Busoniomimus elongatus,Busoniomimus margprominus,Busoniomimus tergeminus,Busoniomimus transversus,Busoniomimus turgidus,Dorsudus bicruris,Fibrus spinulosus,Jogoce rus concavus,Jogocerus cylindratus,Jogocerus viraktamathi,Paramritodus concavus,Paramritodus triangulus,Philipposcopus processus,Wiloatma bicrata,Wiloatma bifurcata,Wiloatma prisciata,Wiloatma transversalis.New synonyms: Ipocerus.New combinations: Chunra kirkaldyi,Paramritodus flavocapitatus,Paramritodus pistacious,Philippogalla modestus,Stritodus flavoscutatus.
