With the competition of economic globalization and product life cycle continuously shortening,under the condition that established firms pay much more attention to monopolying core technologies and protecting intellectual properties,it is a great chanllage for China's small technology-based new ventures(STBNVs)to catch up with and exceed established firms to be the leader of the market through semi-incremental technology innovation in the short term.So radical technological innovation is viewed as a strategic choice for STBNVs to catch up with and exceed established firms undoubtedly.High personnel innovative enthusiasm is advantage for STBNVs to deviate original technology trajectory to develop new technologies and products,or increase the functions of the original technologies and products or reduce cost greatly.However,due to STBNVs without all the knowledge required to radical technological innovation and resources,as well as relying on their own knowledge and resources accumulation to develop new technologies may result in failures.STBNVs must conduct radical technological innovation under open environment by acquiring external knowledge and resources.So the process of radical technological innovation characterizes with openness,coordianation and integration.Knowledge economy era,knowledge(especially tacit knowledge)is a new strategic resource of radical technological innovation for STBNVs and the key factor for their success of radical technological innovation.Based on knowledge collection and new knowledge discovery,radical technological innovation would evolute following knowledge absorption and creation.So,this research will give rise to important theoretical value and practical application significance.Firstly,it defines some concepts.It defines the concept of STBNVs and sums up its characteristics.STBNVs are selected as the objects,it analyzes the concept and characteristics and classification of radical technological innovation.Secondly,it demonstrates the functions of knowledge integration to STBNVs' radical technological innovation;the process of radical technological innovation is constructed from five stages of creativity generation in fuzzy front end,research and development,pilot production,commercialization and new technology standard formation.From three dimensions of knowledge,technology and behavior,it proposes representation,measurement and evaluation model of knowledge integration performance during the process of radical technological innovation.Thirdly,it constructs modules and mechanisms of radical technological innovation for STBNVs based on knowledge integration.Combing with China's strategies and policies,it presents industry-university-institution module,dynamic alliance module and internet + innovation module.The mechanisms of each module are explained in detail.Fourthly,it conducts an empirical analysis to influencing factors of radical technological innovation for STBNVs.Conceptual model and hyphosises are provided from four dimensions of individual capability,innovation open degree,and knowledge integration and information technology.It reveals that individual capability,innovation open degree,knowledge integration have direct and positive influence to radical technological innovation,while information technology gives indirect positive influence.Fifthly,from the perspectives of knowledge,radicalness and openness of radical technological innovation,it establishes measuring index system of radical technological innovation capability evaluation for STBNVs based on knowledge integration.Integrated cloud evaluation model based on utility theory and cloud theory is presented,which can integrate qualitative and quantitative indexes greatly.Finally,it puts forward suitable improving measures for radical technological innovation of STBNVs from the perspectives of innovation process,influencing factors,modules and mechanisms,innovation capability evaluation.The measures are suitable to China's national conditions and development of STBNVs.
