Global warming has become one of the most significant global issues seriously threatening natural eco-environment and human survival and development. The major cause of global climate deterioration is the sharp rise in emissions of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, etc. To achieve energy-saving and emission-reduction is not only an environmental issue, but also an important economic one.Carbon emission reduction in China,as a big country of energy consumption and carbon emission, has received attention both at home and abroad. Therefore, the research, which systematically analyzes the influencing factors of carbon emission of energy consumption in China and proposes the targeted policies and measures of carbon emission reduction, has an important theoretical and practical significance.Based on reviewing the research result of relevant domestic and overseas researches, the paper utilizes various statistical methods and main theories in this field, such as environmental economics, energy economics, macroeconomics, regional economics,to profoundly analyze and more systematically study the influencing factors of carbon emission of energy consumption in China in the aspects of overall level, industrial level and regional level respectively. The paper includes the following major parts.First,it introduces the background and the significance of the research, reviews the current research situations, illustrates the main research contents and methods, and explains the main innovation points.Second,it analyzes the character and variation tendency of energy consumption in China, measures and calculates the carbon emission of energy consumption in China by using the method provided by 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories;and then compares the level of carbon emission in China internationally and forecasts the future carbon emission of energy consumption in China based on GM(1,1)model.Third,it analyzes the action mechanism of influencing factors of carbon emission by applying improved STIRPAT model, builds the testing framework of ?linear granger causality testing-nonlinear dynamic trend testing-nonlinear granger causality testing?,and tests the relationship between the influencing factors and per capita carbon emission of energy consumption in China step by step;then it analyzes empirically the influencing factors by building improved concrete STIRPAT model and further verifies the above theoretical analyses, empirical tests and analysis results through grey correlation analysis method.Fourth, based on combining extended Johan Identity with Generalized Fisher Index decomposition method,it establishes the factor decomposition model of per capita carbon emission of energy consumption in China to study the effects of various influencing factors on carbon emission in detail from the perspective of industrial level and it uses grey correlation analysis method to verify the analysis results of extended Generalized Fisher Index decomposition.Fifth, the paper conducts the spatial regression study of provincial carbon emission of energy consumption in China by using panel data, sets the basic spatial panel data model of provincial carbon emission of energy consumption in China based on the improved concrete STIRPAT model, and selects concrete model to estimate and analyze spillover effects according to various test results;and then it studies the spatial heterogeneity of provincial carbon emission of energy consumption in China by means of visual description and Geographical Weighted Regression model analysis.Last, from the above analysis, the paper draws the main conclusion and proposes related policy suggestions on energy price mechanism, energy consumption structure, industrial structure, technical progress, improving environmental awareness, planning town layout, etc.
