Urban development is based on the constraints condition that maintaining a healthy ecological environment systemic circulation. This article from the urban development of the entire system to explore the harmonious development of urbanization and ecological environment, provide theoretical guidance for the relationship between process of urbanization strategy to promote the process of regional development and the ecological environment.In this paper, the object of study region is the Silk Road economic belt domestic segment, including Xinjiang, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia of northwest five provinces, and Sichuan, Chongqing, Guangxi, and Yunnan of northwest provinces (municipalities). In terms of China's current development strategy, study the coordinated development of this economic belt with urbanization and ecological environment is of great significance. Silk Road economic belt is considered to promote China's economic transformation, transfer of excess capacity, out of focus to the new strategy, and carrying our formal step toward a new economic powerhouse task. Especially, the Silk Road economic belt domestic segment (hereinafter referred to as the Silk Road economic belt) belonging to economically backward areas of China, the new strategy will also further reduce regional differences in China's economic development, and improve the overall quality of development, and how to play the advantage to become a new growth point of China's economic development to promote urbanization and ecological environment coordinated development strategy will be the key to the smooth advancement.
