The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy, and its important feature is the innovation and application of knowledge. The strength of the national strength is becoming more and more depending on the quality of workers. Therefore, improving the quality of the people, especially the scientific quality of people, has become an important strategy for many countries around the world. As a result, the historical task of improving the scientific literacy of the whole people fall on the shoulders of science education. As a part of science education, physics education in high school takes on the mission of developing the quality of national science.Physics plays an indispensable role in the development of students. However, in reality, it is generally believed that physics is the most difficult subject in high school. It is mainly related to the characteristics of the physics subject, the learning characteristics of the students and the teaching of the teachers. Thus, how to improve the quality of physics teaching in high school has become an urgent problem for physics teachers and physics educators.Based on the above background, the study will focus on the issue:The teaching strategies of core contents of physics in high schools, and further subdivided it into four specific research questions:1. What are the core contents of physics in high schools; 2. How the textbooks to present the core contents of physics in high schools; 3. How to choose the teaching strategies of core contents of physics in high schools; 4. What are the factors that affect the teaching of the core contents of physics in high schools.The core contents refer to the main contents and key contents of physics in high schools, and they are the link and center of the various parts of the subject. The core contents reflect the basic questions of physics, and they can integrate or explain many other contents in subject system. Every core content is a core content cluster. It doesn't contain scattered knowledge, but contains the organization system of the knowledge structure of physics and the scientific method. And it has a high level of abstraction and generalization in the content structure of physics.In order to determine the core contents of physics in high schools, the researcher studied the core contents of physics in high schools from three aspects that are the development of physics, the physical curriculum structure system and the angle of physics curriculum specialists. The study chose electromagnetism in physics as a case, and finally found that the electrostatic field, constant current, magnetic field and electromagnetic induction are the core contents of electromagnetic field in high school. After that, the researcher carries on the comparative analysis of four different versions of the textbooks to understand the difference of the present situations of the core contents in the textbooks in three aspects that are the knowledge structure, scientific method and the teaching process.In order to study the teaching strategies of the core contents of physics in high schools, the researcher uses the TIMSS coding method to deeply analyze and discuss the video lessons from the two dimensions of subject content (content essence and scientific methods) and subject teaching (characteristics of students' learning and teaching strategies). The study found that in a same physics class, the performance levels of the three aspects that content essence, scientific methods and students' learning characteristics tend to be consistent and more concerned about the content essence. Moreover, if the teachers want to organize the teaching of core contents, they have to give full consideration to content essence, scientific methods, characteristics of students' learning and the content type and so on, so that they can select and use the most appropriate teaching strategies.In addition, the study also found that teacher, physics curriculum and textbooks in high school and teaching resources and environment are three major factors affecting the teaching of core contents of physics, and the most critical factor is the teacher.Therefore, in order to improve the teaching quality of the core contents of physics in high school and promote the improvement of students' scientific literacy, the teachers need to do the following things in the teaching:reasonable distribution of limited teaching time and energy, in-depth analysis of the textbooks but do not be limited to them, comprehensively promote the use abilities of teaching strategies and effort to achieve the professional development and so on. In this way, we can effectively improve the teaching level of the core contents of physics in high school, promote the realization of the value of physics teaching in the whole high school and realize the improvement of students' scientific literacy and research ability.
