As is about the general course that colleague or university students should take during their higher education period, General Education is becoming the hot topic along with the implementation of quality education in the higher edu cation sector. However, from the overall point of view, the previous Genera1Education studies are far from enough in terms of the characteristics of the t imes, it didn't play a full role in developing the student's international perspe ctive, and did not help them to actively respond to the challenges of globalizat ion. Based on the international globalization background, this paper, by using a variety of researching methods like literature research, historical research, co mparative study, analysed and summarized the present General Education statu s in China, including the theoretical basis of General Education in China, the value-orientation, goal setting, content exploration, implementation of innovat ion, and the concept creation.The challenges and opportunities for university's General education in Chin a, in the Context of Globalization? mainly discuss the theoretical connotation and essence of globalization, what are the challenges and opportunities which u niversity's General education in China have to face in the era of globalizationIn the global vision, the theoretic basis and references of General Education in China higher education mainly include the theoretical basis of the theory of Marxism and the Western Liberal reference. Human freedom and full-develop ment is an important part of the Marxist theory, also is the value theme of General Education. Therefore, under the globalization context, the study of Ge neral Education in Chinese colleague or universities should base on the theory of Marx and Engels, Lenin and the Chinese Communists in terms of the free and full development of human beings. Western LE studies not only reveals h ow the West to carry out education, it also provides a theoretical reference for this paper.In the Context of Globalization, General Education innovation in China h igher education sector mainly adheres to the principle of subjectivity, objectivity, and the principle of development; to promote the development of mankind, th e deepening of service mission and the expansion of task-view.In the Context of Globalization, General Education value-orientation in Chi na higher education sector mainly analyses how to play their value-oriented fun ctions and role. In the era of globalization, the Chinese college students are f acing devision between "universal values " and the value of the consensus, the alienation between traditional values and modern values, and the conflict bet ween "Diversity-value" and the "Single-value". Strengthening the correct value-orientation is very significant among Chinese colleague students. Therefore, Ch ina General Education must keep up with the times, and give its full play in a reas like solving the value conflicts, reaching consensus on different values, a nd leading and advocating the core values, thus provide the correct value orien tation among colleague studentsIn the Context of Globalization, General Education object-development in China higher education sector mainly includes the basic objectives of General Education and the new object under the development of the times. I believe th e basic objectives mainly refer to the training of humanistic spirit, the educati on of social knowledge, and the forging of science and technology accomplish ment, moreover, according to the requirements of the times, General Education should enhance the ability to understand each other, to reach the spirit of tole rance, to develop the concept of harmony, to promote exchanges behaviorsIn the Context of Globalization, General Education curriculums in China higher education mainly includes the basic framework, Analysis of general education curriculum problems and curriculum system improvement. The basic framework of the curriculum system mainly includes core courses, compulsary courses, elective courses,There are some problems of General Education curriculums in China mainly including The ambiguity of curriculums ideas,The Opposition between General course and specialized course,The Unreasonable of curriculum structure, moreover, to increasingly improve the practical course, exchange programs, short courses.In the Context of Globalization, General Education implementation in Chi na higher education mainly includes the implementation channels and the imple mentation methods. I believe that, in an age of globalization, by pursuing cha nnels like classroom teaching, online education, social practices, international communications, and by applying methods like "interactive teaching","inspiring education","traveling education","practice involving" etc. the General Educat ion contents can be effectively implemented and the object can be properly ac hieved.
