On Patriotism Education In Our Universities And Colleges In The Era Of Globalization

Having learned from many researches and absorbed the successful experience of the American school education in patriotism, the thesis tries to improve the effectiveness of the patriotism education in our colleges and universities.This thesis consists of 6 chapters, including: the introduction; the patriotism in the era of globalization; the patriotic outlook of our contemporary college students; the weaknesses of the patriotism education in our colleges and universities; the successful experience of the American school education in patriotism; and thinking on our patriotism education in colleges and universities in this era of globalization, which is the focus of this thesis.The author has done some preliminary innovative thinking on the goal, the content and the implementation of the patriotism education. Especially on the content, the thesis stresses that it should be expanded, and should contain these contents: education on "Chinese spirit", on the ideals and convictions, on citizen awareness, on the outlook of national interests, and on the global awareness, in order to improve the effectiveness of our colleges' and universities' patriotism education.
