Study On The Law Of Chu State In The Eastern Zhou Period

A study of the law of Chu state is an important part of the study of Chu culture. However it is the weak link in the research of Chu culture.Based on the existing research results, with the guiding of the theory of Marxist law, this paper attempts to have a relatively comprehensive, system, in-depth discussion on the law of Chu state in the Eastern Zhou Period through historical materials and unearthed documents. Both research method of history and law are applied in this dissertation. In order to avoid abstract describing the law of Chu state, a lot of cases are applied to demonstrate and strength main ideas.This Paper has five chapters, and its main contents as follows:Chapter1examines the legislative process of Chu state, describes the legislative achievements of Chu state and the dynamic characters in the Eastern Zhou Period. Chapter2and3discusses main contents of the law of Chu state from the aspects of criminal law, civil law, lawsuit system. Chapter3traces the origins and developments of Qin law, discusses the main contents of the law of Qin state, Compare the similarities and differences between the law of Qin state and the law of Chu state. Chapter5analyzes the main features and important influence of the law of Chu state, so as to demonstrate the relationship between the law and social reality.
