The Inheritance And Variation Of Parallel Prose In The Northern Song Dynasty

There were many famous writers on Art Parallelism in the Northern Song Dynasty,their extraordinay acheviements not only revealed artistic accomplishment and personal charm of the scholars in the Song Dynasty,but also had a connection with the renaissance in the early period of dynasty,affected the judgement agaist the development history of the Song Dynasty.But,since the Song and Yuan Dynasties,the Taoist put much more emphasis on prose,meanwhile despised the Parallelism.As a result,the reasearches did not pay enough attention to the creation of parallelism prose.The artistic character of exquisite description,tremendous momentum and ornate diction was depreciated,and more than that,the role and acheviements of these representative writers were not fully hackled.The traditional literature historians took ancient prose movement as the reference,this paper tried to banish this research model and found a new approach to explore the inheritance and variation historical process of the Art Parallelism in the Late Tand and Five Dynasties,in order to reconstruct the true history.Specifically,by a thorough original text reading,the representative works especially,this paper fully understood the artistic features of the related arthors.And then,this paper fully analysed the personal characters and aesthetic orientation by combining with related materials.On the basis of this,this paper discussed the origins and developments of different factions,and gave a detailed discrimination on Art Parallelism and opinions of the related literature historians,in the hope of providing a relatively fair and objective analysis and description on stage characteristics and wholly accomplishments.In addition,this paper also involved to the discussions of different ideas of Confucian literati and literature scholars,and the complicated interaction of Art Parallelism with ancient prose.These viewpoints need to deliberate with elder scholars.This paper was constitued of five chapters.The first chapter,Exploration of Inheritance and Variation of Parallelism Prose in the Northern Song Dynasty,analysed the development history and evolutional track of Parallelism from Late Tang to Southern Tand Dynasty,to clearly present the origins and development history of Parallelism Prose.Next chapter,the Historic Process of Literary World Originate with Parallelism Prose,focused on the reasons of times behind the prosperous of Parallelism Prose in the Early Song Dynasty,and explored the meanings of reconstructing the humble tone with parallel prose.And the third chapter,Xia Song,the aprominent master of the Parallel Prose Creation in the Nouthem Song Dynasty,payed special attention to his unique creation in his time,and tried to explore the effects of parallel prose in the political trends,culture rebuilding.The fourth chapter,The Group of the Guange Officials and the entirely bloom of the Parallel Prose Creation,discussed the creation ideas and artistic orientation of the Guange Officials in the Zhen and Ren period,and appeciated positive influence of beauty eulogy feelings to the creation of parallel prose,and further,pryed into multiple aspects of the creations.The last chapter,The Accomplishment of Ancient Prose Scholars in Parallel Prose Creation,discussed the creation of ancient prose scholars;In the viewpoint of this paper,these people--Ouyang Xiu,Wang Anshi,and Su Shi--could not represent the major characteristics,but they were affected by the new style of Qingli Era,also had extraordinary accomplishment in the creation of parallel prose,their values and effects in the artistical exploration should be appreciated.
