On Version And Text Collating Of Etiquette In Korea

Etiquette(????)spread widely as soon as finished by Zhu,Xi(??).the Government of Hongwv(??)and Yongle(??)period in Ming Dynasty promoted strongly,and the intellectuals acted according to it.Etiquette was introduced to Korea at the Turn of Yuan and Ming Dynasties.The book was regarded as the principle of rite,and influenced cultural trend of the society.Up to this day,Etiquette was not only well preserved but also practiced in Korea.Korean scholar's works about textual research,annotation and discussion sprung up.There are almost 100 works about Etiquette research in Ritual Series of Korea(????????).Korea exceed China a lot in official promotion,civil practice and scholar research.Regarded as a bible,Etiquette is incomplete.There are lots of omissions,carets and reversals in it.Moreover because of copied and printed many times,writing errors are more and more.Korean scholars did plenty of collations on Etiquette characters.This dissertation collects these collations and tests them further basing on Ritual Series of Korea.After summarizing the achievements and limitations of Korean scholars'collation,the dissertation tries to improve Etiquette text.My dissertation is divided into six chapters.Chapter one,review the versions of Etiquette by examiningFuzhu Editio(???),ZengzhuEdition(???),Chengshiu Edition(???),Daquan Edition(???).and the relationship among them.By means of valuable Buzhu Edition(???)in Shanghai Library(?????),the mixed annotation in Daqzfan Edition and circulating context are cleared up.Chapter two,point out Etiquette is incomplete and the research on its character collations is insuff-icient.Chapter three.collect nearly 100 version collations among Doubt Etiquette??????)by Liu Changyzuca(???)?Supplement Etiquette(??????)by Li Yichao(???)and other works inKorea.The most popular version is Daquan Edition in Korea,but there were other earlier versions.Tang Edition(??)mentioned in Doubt Etiquette was from China,but nowadays Tang Edition has been lost in China.Daqzuan Edition was printed many times and there were lots of difference in text.Chapter four.collect collations by other documents except Etiquette or authors' reasoning.There are 39 collations by other documents except Etiquette,for example,Ceremonial Etiquette(????),Rites(????),WritingEtiquette(????),Zhu Xi Complete Works(????)and so on.3 of them correspond to other versions in China,18 of them are common mistakes.There are 99 collations by authors' reasoning.12 of them correspond to other versions in China,41 of them are common mistakes.Korean scholar made 53 mistakes during copying or printing by themselves.Chapter five,discriminate variant,wrong and taboo characters pointed out by Korean scholars.Pointing out 17 variant characters shows their cautious attitude,but judging 7 of them wrong is inadvisable.Korea abided by the hierarchy so strictly that,they changeQi(??)to Bai(?)or Yan(?),change Zhi (?)to Jiao(?)avoiding trespass.Chapter six.discriminate the newly-presented variant characters in Ritual Series of Korea,which Chinese dictionaries do not accept.And analyze the relationship between these variant characters and Chinese characters.In the end,taking advantage of various versions of Etiquette,and collations by Korean scholar,we revise the text of Etiqzuette once again,in order to remedying the incompleteness of the great works.
