Objective:As a sex hormone, testosterone has now been found to potentially have a potential association with a variety of cardiovascular conditions in male patients. This study,as a retrospective case-control study, investigate the relationship between supraventricular tachycardia(SVT)and serum testosterone(ST)in men, including the relationship between serum testosterone levels and the incidence rate of overall SVT,as well as paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT),atrial fibrillation(Af),atrial flutter(AF),and auricular tachycardia(AT).Methods:A total of 3480 male patients admitted to our cardiology department from June 2013 to July 2017 were enrolled in this study.According to the inclusion criteria,3075 patients were included in this retrospective cross-sectional case-control study.According to the 2015 ACC(American College of Cardiology)guidelines,772 patients were diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia(SVT)in the 3075 patients, including 216 patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT),atrial fibrillation 445 cases of Af,72 cases of atrial fibrillation(AF),39 cases of atrial tachycardia(AT)and 2303 cases of control(non-supraventricular tachycardia). The relationship between serum testosterone levels and the incidence rate of overall SVT,as well as paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT),atrial fibrillation(Af),atrial flutter(AF),and auricular tachycardia(AT)were compared with the control using independent samples T test,Pearson ?2 test and Logistics regression analysis. Results:Our results show that 1.Patients with supraventricular tachycardia have higher serum testosterone levels than the control group(380.89 ± 159.49 ng/dl vs 345.86 ±142.84 ng/dl).After controlling for other confounding factors, the level of serum testosterone in supraventricular tachycardia was still higher than that in the control group, and was statistically significant.Serum testosterone levels in patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT)were significantly higher than those in the control group(386.79 ± 154.62ng/dl vs 345.86 ± 142.84ng/dl),with significant statistical significance. After controlling the influence of confounding factors,No significant statistical significance. The level of serum testosterone in patients with atrial fibrillation(Af)was significantly higher than that in the control group(378.261 ± 164.29ng/dl vs 345.86 ± 142.84ng/dl),and remained statistically significant after controlling for other confounding factors. The level of serum testosterone in patients with atrial flutter(AF)group was higher than that of the control group(355.615 ± 160.83ng/dl vs 345.86 ±142.84ng/dl),but no statistically significant difference. The level of serum testosterone in patients with atrial tachycardia(AT)was significantly higher than that in the control group(424.805 ± 116.92ng/dl vs 345.86 ± 142.84ng/dl).After controlling for other confounding factors,The meaning of learning boundaries. Conclusions:After controlling for confounding factors, total serum testosterone in SVT patients was higher than that in controls.Thereinto, the total testosterone level in Af group was significantly higher than that in control group.Thong total serum testosterone levels in PSVT,AT and AF patients were higher than those in control group, but no significant difference was found.
