Objective This study is a comparative study on the therapy of the chronic recurrent nonspecific cervical disease. The objective of this study to compare the effectiveness of acupuncture with kinesio-taping.The study compares the success of disease treatment via a Western, physical therapy versus a treatment with acupuncture. The diseases being treated chronic recurrent nonspecific cervical disease are a consequence overload and damaged soft-tissues around neck region. The assumption is to prove that acupuncture together with electro-acupuncture is clearly more effective in the results. Methods In this study, the impact of acupuncture is compared with that of a Western kinesio-taping-induced treatment, based on 60 patients with the chronic recurrent nonspecific cervical disease. All patients have been diagnosed with suffering from neck pain and discomfortable feeling The patients are randomly divided in two groups. The duration of the treatments for the study is four weeks,i.e.the acupuncture group receive four acupuncture treatments per week with the points of Tianzhu,Fengchi,Jianjing,Houxi,Lieque,Jiaji and Ashi whereas the comparison group is given the kinesio-taping therapy.Eletro-stimulater will be carried out between Fengchi and Jianjing. All the patients have undergone a complete neurological anamnesis secure the diagnosis..All patients are given a clinical sydrome changes chart to reflect their improvements, visual analogue scale and SF-MPQ to display and document subjective perceptions. The patients of both groups are fully co-operative with the respective therapeutic concepts. Results After a study duration,clear/obvious results obtained in both therapy groups are proven by diagnostic examinations. After a four-week period of acupuncture therapy,27 testers state a distinct improvement of their general condition. For threetesters,no change was perceived. After a four-week period of kinesio-taping therapy,23 testers state a distinct improvement of their general condition. No change was perceived for 7 testers.Observation group and the control group for 4 weeks' treatment, the VAS score between the two groups after treatments, the difference was significant(=0.0157);paired comparison within the observation group before and after treatment difference was significant(P =0.002);the control group before and after treatment in each group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There shows a significant correlation between VAS core and symdrome improvement in both groups,r =0.6646 and r =0.7009,respectively.The SF-MPQ score between the two groups after treatments, the difference was significant(P<0.05);paired comparison within the observation group before and after treatment difference was significant(P<0.05);the control group before and after treatment in each group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The results of the treatments were, and are,so obvious, that the follow-up treatment of acupuncture become the main treatments ? offer in my practice. The subjective evaluation of pain conditions and changes in the overall condition are so striking.chronic recurrent nonspecific cervical disease with acupuncture should be published for the scientific community.
