Comparative Studies Of Magnetic Irradiation And Acupuncture Stimulation For Vascular Dementia

ObjectiveModern research shows that the prevalence of dementia with population over 65 years of age is about 5%,of which vascular dementia accounted for about 20%,with the increasingly aging of our society,the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease increased,also the incidence of vascular dementia Significantly increased,therefore the search for effective treatment of vascular dementia is particularly important.Chinese medicine and acupuncture treatment of vascular dementia research reports increased year by year,some progress has been made in terms of efficacy.It has been reported that acupuncture treatment can improve the learning and memory function by scavenging free radicals,regulating central cholinergic neurotransmitters and other means.However,due to the etiology of this disease is not fully understand,the conclusions of the trial can only provide a possible treatment mechanism,and cannot clear the exact principles of acupuncture treatment of vascular dementia.Jin Three-needle therapy for vascular dementia have been upgrade by increasing relevant reports,but more of the clinical efficacy reported and less relevant studies with pharmaceutical is not as much.Transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)is the use of time-varying magnetic field to change the dynamic potential of cortical neurons,thereby affecting brain metabolism and neural activity for biological stimulation technology.In many vitro studies have found that TMS can cause changes in the morphology of the neural cell membrane,increase the proliferation of nerve cells and promote cell differentiation,enhance synaptic plasticity,improve the spatial memory and cognitive function of rats.In some clinical studies have also shown that TMS of vascular dementia patients with significant effect,can improve their cognitive dysfunction,thereby improving the quality of life.But there is still a lack of bio-molecular research and other mechanisms by using TMS treatment for vascular dementia.Based on this,the purpose of this study is to observe the clinical treatment of acupuncture and cranial magnetic stimulation for the treatment of vascular dementia,and useful exploration for the trial vascular dementia treatment.Through the animal experiments,based on the existing literatures,observe the relevant key indicators for the Jin three needle therapy(JTNT)and TMS of the mechanism of vascular dementia which might provide a better reference.By observe the clinical effect of JTNT and TMS for the treatment of vascular dementia(VD),and to analyze the effect of treatment of vascular dementia and provide the some explanation for the treatment of vascular dementia.MethodsStudy A:Research A:Prepare 40 VD rats model in animal experiments,randomly giving drugs and/or acupuncture,0.28mm in diameter,lmm and 1.5mm needle for acupuncture,the acupoints were Baihui(??),Naohu(??)and Naokong(??).In the model rats,"Baihui" acupoint(top right)obliquely 10mm depth,other two acupoints for 5mm depth,all connected to the electro-acupuncture instrument,applied with continuous wave,and frequency of 150Hz,the intensity of the rat tolerance to approximate 1mA,once daily,keep needling for 20mins,continuous treatment for 5 days,rest 2 days,and then repeat the treatment for another 5 days.Observed the rats' behavioral patterns and also the acupuncture effect on the VD treatments were studied.The rats were sacrificed 30 days later,and the contents of beta LTP,AVP and A? in brain tissue were studied.Research B:Collect 60 patients diagnosed with vascular dementia,the patients were randomly divided into two groups and the control group consisted of 30 cases.Two groups of patients in treatment and on the basis of regular treatment of the underlying disease,giving Jin three-needle therapy in the treatment group,the control group received TMS treatment.Respectively on MMSE in two groups of patients before and after treatment,HDS scoring,compared two groups of clinical efficacy.ResultsResearch A:Animal experiments VD rats after treatment learning and memory ability improved than before:VD related neurotransmitter levels in brain tissue of rats reduced compared with normal control group,after 30 days after treatment,the neurottransmitters of the rats improved with varying degrees;Rehabilitation effect of drugs combined with acupuncture in the treatment group perform better than the acupuncture group alone,which in turn is better than simple drug treatment group.Research B:Treatment in both groups before and after the MMSE,HDS total effective rate were significantly different(P<0.01),but the comparisonbetween the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).ConclusionJin three-needle and TMS treatment can significantly improve symptoms in patients with vascular dementia,all shows effective,safe and reliable,but is not yet certian which approach is more effective.
