Clinical Research On Treating The Insomnia Of Internal Disturbance Of Phlegm-Heat With Wendan Decoction In Malaysia

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Wendan Decoction in the treating primary insomnia of Internal Disturbance of Phlegm-Heat, evaluate the clinical efficacy and investigate the clinical mechanism,provide a secure and effective way to treat primary insomnia of Internal Disturbance of Phlegm-Heat in Malaysia.Methods:Selecting 120 patients which consistent with standard from April,2015 to March,2016.Treated continuously for 4 weeks with concentrated traditional Chinese medicine granules of Modified Wendan Decoction,to compare the difference between medical syndrome and PSQI before and after the treatment,then evaluate the effect by adjusting stomach and Gallbladder,regulating vital energy,nourishing spleen and quieting spirit.Result:The average age of 120 patients with 23.3 percent males and 76.6 percent female is 45.75±10.72 patients were clinically cured(6.66%),31 markedly improved (51.66%),2 1 effective(35%),4 failed(6.66%),the total cure rate was 93.3%.PSQI:scores before treatmen t 17.40±2.509 (P>0.05) the difference was not statistically significant,scores after treatmen t 5.17±3.206 (P<0.05) the difference was statistically significant.PSQI with pair test (Z) b efore and after treatment (P<0.05) he difference was statistically significant.The Chinese medicine symptom:scores before treatment 23.63±3.970 (P=0.213>0.05) the difference was not statistically significant,scores after treatment 6.50±4.605 (P<0.05) the difference was statistically significantPSQI with pair test (Z) before and after treatment (P<0.05) the di fference was statistically significant.Conclusions:Through these study,Modified Wendan Decoction has made significant improvem ents in treating primary insomnia of Internal Disturbance of Phlegm-Heat in Mala ysia.Adjusting stomach and Gallbladder,clearing heat and resolving phlegm,nourish ing spleen and quieting spirit is efficient method.
