| Tibetan purgation therapy is one of the five main Tibetan medical therapies, it can date back to Zhang Zhung period according to extant Tibetan manuscripts. During era of Tubo, The Tibetan king invited many physicians from India and Han areas. to translate and compose the theory and treatment from different medical schools that improved and enriched Tibetan purgation therapy. This work also unified and systemized the practical operation of Tibetan purgation therapy, forming the theoretical framework of preparation, giving treatment, and postoperative nursing. On this basis, reviewers of the therapy also collected and organized the theory opinion and practical experience of the doctors in the past, which contributed to the chapter of Tibetan purgation therapy in Four-Volume Medical Code.Research Purpose:according to the records in Four-Volume Medical Code, Tibetan purgation therapy can apply to many diseases at any age. In Tibetan Medicine Treatment Principle, there is one treatment principle called" To ease who will be ill, and to purge who have got diseases", which tells the indispensible and unparalleled status of purgation therapy in Tibetan clinical treatment. But due to various reasons, the therapy has not been widely used in clinical treatment, resulting in the treatment of various diseases with difficulty. So the author believes that studying Tibetan purgation therapy is not only meeting the needs of clinical treatment, but also in line with the policy trend to promote traditional medical service ability and facilitate the inheritance and development of traditional medicine. By analyzing the history of Tibetan medicine and the records about Tibetan purgation therapy in Tibetan ancient treatises, the thesis further explores the evolution, development, and maturing process of Tibetan purgation therapy; emphasizes the characteristics of the therapy; collects and analyzes purgation prescriptions for common diseases and looks for the law behind them; and understands the current application of purgation therapy in clinical treatment, and puts forward later research direction.Methodology:(1)By comparing and analyzing Dunhuang Tubo Medical Literature, Biqi Yellow JingHan, Dangxu Medical Remaining Volumes, and Moon King Medicine Diagnosis, to explore the development and the formation of theoretical system in Tubo period of Tibetan purgation therapy. (2) According to Tibetan ancient treatises, to put forward the treatment characteristics of Tibetan purgation therapy; According to the author's own view, to analyze and discuss the content of Tibetan purgation therapy, such as long-term preparation and recent preparation, giving treatment and postoperative nursing (3) To make classification and analysis about purgation prescriptions for clinical common diseases, including ChiBa disease, liver, stomach, tumor, gout, pain (4) By visit, inquiry, on-the-spot investigation, to understand the current Tibetan purgation therapy in clinical application.Results:(1) Tibetan purgation therapy has at least 1300 years of history. Based on the inherent content of Tibetan purgation therapy, Tibetan took the related knowledge and experiences adjacent areas and formed three stages of the theoretical system. (2) The thesis proposes that Tibetan purgation therapy has nine main characteristics. According to ancient treatises, the number of diseases that could be purged is 58, the number of diseases that could not is 30, but the thesis, by combing and analysis, determines that the number of diseases that can be purged is 11, the number of diseases that cannot be purged is 4. (3) Based on the completion degree recorded by Tibetan ancient treatises, the thesis makes out a new integral evaluation about the completion degree of the therapy. (4) The thesis discusses the law behind purgation prescriptions for ChiBa disease, liver, stomach, tumor, gout, pain and puts forward the main medicine and complementary medicine for each disease. (5) By visit, inquiry, on-the-spot investigation, it is known that there are only three purgation prescriptions commonly used in clinical practice.Conclusion:(1) According to the ancient treatises Shiwanquan, which says "Terma pus method originates from Bon", Yutuozhuan, which records "Zhang zhung had the purgation therapy to purge down the diseases", Tibetan Medical Notes, which states "liver purging and spleen blood purging stem from Fearless Weapon", Tibetan purgation therapy is an treatment with a long history, its recording lasting at least 1300 years. The development of Tibetan purgation therapy always follows the academic atmosphere of inherent inheritance and derives essence from other medical parties. (2) The content of Tibetan purgation therapy includes long-term preparation, recent preparation, fast purgation, slow purgation, drug processing, methods of taking medicine, promoting-agent, purgation amount, and postoperative nursing, all of which demonstrates that Tibetan purgation therapy has a complete theoretical system and organized practical steps. (3) Tibetan purgation therapy have nine treatment characteristics:wide range of treatment, optimizing choice for ChiBa disease, eradicating disease, purifying lumen, raising stomach fire, relieving pain, balancing three types of disease causes, quick curative effect, and health care, etc. (4) Through the analysis of purgation prescriptions for common diseases, it can be known that the main medicine of the purgation prescription is Kezi, whose effect is to balance three types of disease causes, and Bailangdu, which is used to purge cold and heat together. On this basis, according to the nature of disease and patients'constitution, doctors can add complementary medicine. Therefore, the thesis provides a train of thoughts for the development of new purgation prescriptions. (5) About what kind of disease can be purged, a question put forward in classic treatise, a conclusion can be drawn in this thesis:the diseases that can be purged are swelling, edema, leprosy, dim eye disease, rheumatoid arthritis, taeniasis, ripe stage heat disease, poisoning, and tumor etc. The diseases that cannot are diseases for pregnant women, weak stomach fire, trauma, and anal disease. (6) At present, purgation prescriptions used for clinical practice are Arusai purgation,10 Flavor slow purgation, Mitonggen purgation. Arusai purgation is mainly used in the treatment of jaundice,10 Flavor slow purgation mainly in the treatment of red disease, and Mitonggen purgation in the treatment of early puah wooden Brucella.All in all. this thesis can help us have a better understanding and make a new discovery about Tibetan purgation therapy. and lay a solid foundation for the clinical application and further research of the therapy. There is another expectation that the thesis can promote the clinical service ability in Tibetan medicine. |
