Research On Creation For Lightness Trend Of Contemporary Architecture From Multi-dimensional Perspective

In the contemporary architectural creation(CAC)ideological trends,“lightness” is becoming a novel trend of creation.The architects transmit contemporary ideas of “lightness” through practice and innovation.The critics explore the connotation and essence of “lightness” by critical reflection.The theorists reveal the principles and rules in contemporary architecture by applying theoretical tools.The creative idea?“Do more with less” of lightness trend reveals the core value of the policy of “applicable,economic,beautiful,green”,and accords with the new direction of development of building industrialization.It is one kind of philosophy to achieve sustainable target.The emerging lightweight architecture system has provided more technical schemes and methods for CAC.However,lightweight architecture system cannot contain all the meanings and connotations about “light”.It needs broader perspectives and theoretical depth for the studies of “light”.Hence,this dissertation put forward to the theoretical concept of “lightness trend” based on lightweight architecture system.Creative problems of lightness trend are studied from ontology to epistemology,and then to methodology,through multidisciplinary,architecture,psychology,philosophy,ecology,ha zard science,anthropology,aesthetics,history,ethnology,religious studies,engineering etc.The aim of this research is to provide more comprehensive theoretical system about light,to be the complementary for contemporary architectural theories.According to the current domestic situation of architectural creation,the paper comprehensively analyzes the new backgrounds,demonds and tendency od CAC in our country from the perspectives of building industrialization,cultural self-consciousness and lightweight architecture creation trends.Through compares with the industrialization design ideas and the expressing consciousness of culture in western countries,the paper points out that there are shortcomings and inadequates in the collaboration of design,production,construction and local culture performance.Based on these analyses,the dissertation has proposed lightness trend creation as a new creation method,which meets the development of building industralization,shows the local cultural characteris tics,corresponding with the demands of era requirements.The paper starts with epistemological research of lightness trend from the perspective of the history and theory.First of all,from the conceptual aspect,the author presents that lightness trend is one kind of architectural expression which combines technical lightweight and artistic lightness.It does not only illustrate the idea of “do more with less”,but also show the new aesthetic orientations and value on contemporary culture.Secondly,the author refines the theoretical characteristics of lightness trend by in-depth analysis on the attribute of the theory.Thirdly,the author concludes the development phase and characteristics in different phase of lightness trend in view of architectural technology history.Lastly,theory thread has been sorting through abundant relevance research about architecture theories.By attribute analyses,historical evolution,theory carding,the paper points out that lightness trend is an inevitable tendency of development of contemporary architecture.The lightness trend is not only specific expression of technological problem,but a novel creative idea.In the part of methodology of lightness trend,the dissertation,firstly,presents three creative dimensions of lightness trend in contemporary architecture: enviromental,cultural,technical.Secondly,lightness trend creative theoretical model is founded in the guidance with a holistic view according to three dimensions presented before.The association relationship is established between lightness trend and complex adaptive system(CAS)theory,anthropology theory and archi-neering design idea.Thirdly,the author extracts the application principles of lightness trend theory from core ideas of three bifurcation theories,which respectively are stimuli-responsive,cultural difference,multidiscipline coordination.Lastly,the theoretical framework of contemporary architectural lightness trend is founded according to the theoretical model and application principles.In the research of strategies and method of lightness trend creation,the paper puts forward to the environmental adaptation strategies based on CAS,the cultural response strategies based on relevant theories of anthropology,technical tectonic strategies based on archi-neering design idea.To sum up,through the dimension set,model design,theory application,framework establishment and strategies suggestion,the paper has built a comprehensive theoretical system for lightness trend from epistemology to methodology,and then to method.The research on ontology,epistemology,methodology and method has raised the theoretical hight for architectural lightness trend.It has extended the theoretical category of light,which has been only applied in long-span space building or lightweight architecture system,made lightness trend as a kind of contemporary architecture creative ideas which has widely applicability.
