‘Urban-villages’ Study Under The Self-organization Mechanism Of City Immigrants Residential Space

Based on the science of human settlements design and take ‘self-organization’ as lessons,this paper has reviewed the complication of ‘village in city’——the human settlements for new immigrants in city during the process of urbanization from an interdisciplinary perspective.Then,the inherent value system will be explained to meet the develop demand and the transformation requirement of human settlements research.As ‘village in city’ is one of the ‘defective’ space in terms of human settlements research,for a long time,this problem was raised due to the housing shortage,economic capacity deficiency,management and institutional guarantees,and other background concepts.It focuses on shortcomings in building a normalized and top-down frame,which has reserved plenty space for design disciplines to discuss this problem.This research has analyzed relevant research about human settlements for new immigrants in cities.Also,it comes up with a path,the adaption mechanism of‘self-organization’ can be a guidance of the system evolution of human settlements.Moreover,it resolves the development and social space performance of new immigrants self-organization of human settlements,and has formed several internal laws of the human settlements mechanism,such as integrity,subjectivity and time-sequence.In addition,it makes a point that the mutual-ism and coordination problems should be discussed in a deeper interpreting.This paper has analyzed the deductive features of self-organized human settlements resulting from the micro-scale research of human settlements.For instance,Hangzhou west villages,peripheral rural area of university town in Wuchang,old communities of mixed settlements in Wuhan and other atypical examples.It demonstrates an internal and inclusive content feature of‘self-organization’.On the basis of interdisciplinary,this paper has introduced the ‘urban inclusion’as a cut-in point of the key theory.It involves various connotations or signatures,for instance,mufti-dimension,gradualism,and interconnection.According to the comparative analysis and comprehensive evaluation about ‘self-organized’ human settlements,which is resulted from multiple analysis framework,this paper has given a conclusion,the integrity of economic fusion dimension,the dynamism of social fusion dimension and diversification of culture fusion dimension.Which means,in the background of city inclusion and unbalanced process,the value dimension is not isolate between each other,that they need an organic transformation to develop adifferential and diversified way.Importantly,it can be helpful with the distinguish between true values and problems to ensure the instructive function of the features in terms of social space self-organization theory.Additionally,it reconsidered the dominated problem and the cognition misunderstandings about self-organized space for human settlements from the aspect of ‘time-shape-state’ in design disciplines,also,it has proposed some constructive inspiration of human settlements self-organization.Lastly,on account of the research conclusion,it has put forward some suggestions of constructive transformation of human settlements.Basing on the four contradiction complications,urbanity,subjectivity,space-time characteristic and ethic,it has hold out some significant content,the design connotation extension,the value transformation,and the methodology shift.Above that,it rethinks the problem of design update and optimization of human settlements.The path,conclusion,and the method of the paper,are aimed to promote the cognition of immigrant settlements characteristics.In addition,it may feedback the subjective,adaptive,ambiguity values of human settlements self-organization,to make up the theoretic cognition and practical response deficiency of design disciplines.As a result,the reflection of human settlements construction can be sufficient.
