The Urban Spatial Extension Research Of Contemporary Wuhan

Urban development is organically growing, affected by economical social and economical factors of different periods. Urban space shape of different periods are diverse due to the changing background. As the implementation of reform and opening up policy, the city of Wuhan has experienced rapid urban expansion as a result of market economy system reform social political system reform. The city center is expanding, accompanied by modulation of surban administration divison. The built-up area has increased to260km2of2009from168.4km2of1979. Drama development caused the disorder and confusion of city space, the urban and rural living environment caused serious damage and threats. In today's world increasingly under the background of globalization and China's economic transformation, A coordinate space based on new-typed urbanization and humanistic is inevitably choice of a low carbon?intensive?health?green?sustainable development city. This thesis analise the evolution of urban space form in the course of1861-2009, and explore the influencing factors.in additional, it predicts the future spatial evolution of2009-2039.This thesis mainly falls into three parts.The first parts includes capter1,chapter2. This parts primarily deals with the research background?literature review and history background of Wuhan urban expansion. Carefully examined the previous research concerning the urban spatial expansion, this research aims to fill the gap between of existing study of Wuhan and the pratical spatial evolution of this city.The second part contains chapter3, the chapter4, chapter5and chapter6. Firstly, the natural and humanistic background is systemically elaborated in this part, followed by the spatial expansion of Wuhan before1979.Then it maily research the transitional period which is specifically defined as the period from1979to1989,1989tol999.1999to2009in this thesis. It reviews the social and economical development, the city construction and the urban changes of each stage in detail, and then summarized the structure, surface, link and spot elements of spatial evolution. In the end of this part., the features of uban spatial expansion are concluded and explained.The last part is the core part of this thesis. It responses to the questions presented in the beginning and explore the improvement mechanism for the urban spatial expansion. The SPSS softwore is utilized to dispose the data relectiong the impact factors determined by this research. And it analyzes dynamic mechanism that promote space development of Wuhan in the future, forecast the direction and goal in the "Gold thirty years". Finally, the paper puts forward the urban land use optimization oriented of three stages of2009-2019,2019-2029,2029-2039, and space optimization of the safeguard measures.It illustrates systematically the thoughts and countermeasure of the space optimization.The conclusion part draws the key points of every stages of spatial expansion. It summarized the impact factors, dynamic mechanism and the innovation points.At the same time, it points out further research direction.
