DNA modified nanoparticles are a big group of important nano materials.They have the properties of nanoparticles,while they also have the properties of DNA molecules.For example,the DNA modified gold nanoparticles have the surface plasmon resonance,which makes the nanoparticle could change its color from red to blue,but also have the great selectivity to the specific DNA sequence.This makes the DNA modified gold nanoparticles an ideal molecule probe that is easy to manuscript and also have a great sensitivity.DNA modified nanoparticles have a great potential to be applicated in the biomedical field.In this manuscript,we have deeply studied this kind of nanoparticles,we built several new DNA modified nanoparticles,include organic and inorganic particle,and made some new DNA nanoparticle based materials.Firstly,we improved the sensitivity and the limit of detection of the DNA modified gold nanoparticle probe.By using the Double-anchored technology,we successfully added a short double strand DNA between the probe DNA and the particle surface,which could prevent the probe DNA folding back to the surface of the gold nanoparticle.And in this way,we successfully improved the performance of the DNA modified gold nanoparticle sensor.We also tried to use this technology to the sensors that detecting the mercury ions.Then,we tried to conjugate the DNA molecules onto the surface of magnetic nanoparticles.The usual strategy to make this kind of particles is very expensive,which prevent the application of it.In this work,we used a much cheaper linker to link the DNA molecules to the magnetic nanoparticles.We proved that,the DNA molecules on the magnetic nanoparticles still remain its function after being modified onto the particle by using our strategy.After this work,we tried to use this nanoparticle to make a DNA hydrogel,which could be remotely controlled by the magnetic field.DNA hydrogel had a great performance in cell recovery research.So that we think the remote controlling of the hydrogel is very important for its further application.We added the DNA modified magnetic nanoparticle into the DNA hydrogel with a very high concentration.In this way,the movement of the hydrogel could be easily controlled by a magnet.Finally,considering the importance of the TMV particle in the nano-material research,we tried to build a new universal strategy to conjugate the TMV with any other particle.By using copper catalyzed azide-alklyn cycloaddition,we conjugate the DNA sequence onto the TMV.In this way,we successfully conjugated the DNA modified gold nanoparticles onto the surface of the TMV particle.
