Industrial Relationship And Spread Of Producer Services Research

The development of producer services is independent of manufacturing and, therefore producer services become the "transmitter" that introduces the advanced productive factors such as human capital and knowledge capital into the production process, the "facilitator" that deepens the division of production, the "glue" that promotes social and economic development, the booster of economic growth and efficiency, the traction of economic competitiveness, as well as the catalyst of economic revolution and globalization. The deepening development of producer services can bring about the improvement of service efficiency and quality, improve the environment for industrial development, promote structural change and labor division deepening of the manufacturing organizations, and promote the upgrading of industrial structure and urban functions.When all the countries showing the process of taking turns in the industrialization, the industry linkage and industry spread of these countries’ producer services also showed different evolutions: The manufacturing of China is in the transition phase from "quantitative expansion" to "quality enhance", and it showed larger industry linkages to producer services, but still lower industry linkages to agriculture and consumer services than that of United States and India; The industry linkages between producer services and manufacturing showed gradual decline, and that between producer services and consumer services continues to strengthen, the separation of the real economy and the virtual economy continually strengthening the "industrial hollowing out" which is a root cause" to the financial crisis. This proves that in the whole process of industrialization, the industry linkage between producer services and manufacturing basically shows the characteristics of a rise before a declining, while the industry linkage between producer services and consumer services is gradually strengthening. In addition, the industry spread effect of the traditional and low-end sub-sectors of producer services decreased gradually, while and that of emerging and high-end sub-sectors of industry show a gradually rising trend. Beside these basic conclusion, this thesis and deeply analyzes other important laws of the industry linkages and industry spread of producer services between China, the USA and India.According to the forecast of National Intelligence Council (NIC) of the USA, China, the USA and India will be the three Mistuo Kindoms of the world in2025, which means the three countries will stand a good chance in leading trend of World’s future industrialization gradual progress and the global ensemble tide of economic development. Therefore, On the basis of comparison with other big powers, the analysis of industry linkage and industry spread in producer services and its problems behind; the summarization the evolving law of industry linkage and industry spread of producer services in the process of industrialization, the analysis of our possibility in giving full play to producer services and promote the road towards new-pattern industrialization, may help our country promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, improve the capability of independent innovation, change the mode of economic development, and realize the strategic objectives of new-pattern industrialization as soon as possible.This thesis is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background and significance, and then defines the research object-industrialization, service industry, producer services, industry linkage, and industry spread, followed by the analysis of emphasis and difficulties of the thesis, the raise of features and innovations, and finally forming the methods and framework of this thesis.The second chapter first summarizes and comments on criteria for the classification of industrialization stages or stages of economic development from the evolution traditional industrialization theories, Hoffman’s four-stage industrialization, Rostow’s six-stage economic development theory, Chenery’s theory of industrialization standard model, and also domestic scholars’ research on industrialization stages; at last, the method to define industrialization stages in this thesis is introduced and then the industrialization stages of China, the USA and India are defined. Then the industry linkage mechanisms are analyzed from the four perspectives-"demand-compliance theory","supply-leading theory","industry interaction theory" and "industrial integration theory" producer services. The "industry interaction theory" is divided into four perspectives-the theory labor division, specialization and market circuitous, the value chain, the competitive advantage, as well as the ecological community. At last, frontier research trends of scholars at home and abroad are analyzed from the perspectives of the division of industrialization stages, the process of industrialization, the industry linkage of producer services and other industries, the industry spread effect of the producer services with the entire economic system, and international comparison.Chapter3-6are the main parts of this paper, which make four levels of analysis and comparison of industry linkage. That is the two-way interaction analysis (cross-sectional and longitudinal section) between Producer Services and agriculture/manufacturing/consumer services, and the industry spread effect between the producer services and the economy as a whole, between China, the USA and India.The seventh chapter first summarizes characteristics and differences of the producer services industry linkage and spread between the United States, China and India, followed by the deep thoughts from the perspectives of international industrial transfer and countries taking turns in the process of industrialization, the impact of the differences in the industrialization roads on the relative development of the three countries, and also the possibility of China giving full play to the producer services and lead the load of new-pattern industrialization. Therefore, the existing problems in the development of producer services in China is deeply analyzed-the development of producer services in the lower level of the stages; the low degree of production socialization and specialization; the little supply, the low sensitivity, the lack of demand of national economy, the low added value and competitive, the lack of policy measures of producer services; and the advantage of high influence is not fully utilized. Based on the analysis before, the reasons for the lag-behind development of producer services, mainly includes the lack of knowledge of the producer services and research lag, the lack of manufacturing demand for producer services, the poor institutional environment for the development of producer services, the lack of necessary human resources, the lack of enterprise innovationThe eighth chapter first analyzes and compares the industry policies of producer services in China, the USA and India, and also summarizes what China can learn from the USA and India. So that it puts forward policy recommendations on promoting the development of producer services in China—improving research and enhancing knowledge, enhancing the demand of manufacturing on producer services, improving the construction of institution environment and endeavor in improving marketization level, cultivating and introducing advanced talents and industries so that to improve the level of producer services, enhancing the innovation ability of producer services on our own. At last, the outlook of future research direction is raised.
