Because that the laser have the advantages monochromaticity, wider display color gamut, more saturated and bright colors, energy conservation and environment protection as the light source, the laser display have become an important evelopment direction of the projection display technology. This paper analysis and study the main factors influencing the display effect, and re-design the visual psychophysics experiments to evaluating the effectiveness.The main factors influencing laser projection display include image white balance, image contrast, image color, image brightness uniformity and image color uniformity. This paper compares the existing programs, points out its shortcomings; put forward the improvements or pioneering solutions.White balance affect the display directly, this paper study the color attributes and redesign the visual psychophysics experiments, analysis the color visual differences in different environments, put forward a new correction scheme through the experimental results. In this paper, we introduce the research methods and research process taking the white balance correction as an example.Based on the principle of dynamic lighting control, this paper proposed a new system based on image processing, the system segment the areas and process them, and improve the overall contrast. Experiments show the effectively.As that the traditional color management system are not suitable to use in the large color gamut of laser display, so this paper pioneering proposed a color management system based on the image contents, the system analysis the links among the color brightness, saturations, and hues. According to different images, the different algorithms formulas are applied. Subjective and objective evaluation criteria are established for laser display to verify the validity of the algorithms.This paper proposes two alternatives for detection and correction of the display image uniformity. One is using computer to processing the pictures taken by cameras, the other is designing the specialized detection equipments. And the algorithms are proposed to increase the luminance uniformity and color uniformity algorithm.This paper proposes2D to3D image system based on wavelet analysis, the system use the two-dimensional discrete wavelet transform to estimate the depth image information, and generate the virtual view images through DIBR algorithms, then form the3D images.
