At present, our country is in the political system reform and the key period of social transformation, the contemporary college students’ political socialization is in a series of new features. In this situation, how to strengthen and improve ideological and political education, so as to adapt to the new changes in college students’political socialization, how to use the science and effectiveness of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities to create a new realm of the college students’political socialization, that become a realistic problem urgently to be solved for each college ideological workers, and also in order to promote the contemporary college students’ political socialization.This study used the method of combining qualitative and quantitative to ideological and political education and analysed relationship between the contemporary college students’ political socialization and the status characteristics of contemporary college students’ political socialization. We uesd theory analysis and empirical research, from the perspective of ideological and political education, to explore the influence factors of contemporary college students’political socialization, and finally from the ideological and political education objective, education content, education method, education carrier of angle put forward main counter measures to promote the contemporary college students’ political socialization.This research thought:the ideological and political education is an important means of promoting the contemporary college students’ political socialization, promote contemporary college students’ political socialization is an important goal of ideological and political education. The basic characteristics of contemporary college students’ political socialization in the new period of the agreement are the firmness of political cognition and confusion, political emotion loyalty and cold sex, political participation of the pragmatic and utilitarian. Ideological and political education objective, education content, education method, education carriers are the main influence factors to promote contemporary college students’ political socialization. Reshaping the ideological and political education goal is the key to promote the contemporary college students’ political socialization, social goals and individual development goals and practice goals should be grasped. Adjusting the content of the ideological and political education is the core to promote political socialization of contemporary university students. We must strengthen the system of socialist core values education, promote the ideal faith education, strengthen the patriotism education, deepen the concept of citizen education. Innovating ideological and political education method is a means of promoting contemporary college students’political socialization. We must be good at using the theory of education, the practice exercise, emotional communication method, typical education, network communication method. Expanding the ideological and political education carrier is the motive force of promoting contemporary college students’ political socialization. We must be good at using the carrier of classroom teaching in universities, democratic meeting carrier in universities, the construction of cultural carrier in universities, the carrier of amateur activities in universities, and carrier of mass media in universities.
