The fact that human beings exist in culture is an important part of Marx’s theory of man.Human existence in culture embodies the spiritual dimension of human beings. It has thedimensions of human value, educating function and the function of improving harmony amonghuman beings.At the same time, the cultural dimension of human existence is also deeplyinvolved in the innovation of ideological and political education. It is fundamental as how toinspire people’s cultural creativity, to enhance their cultural identity, to clarify therelationships between theory and practice with which the present ideological and politicaleducation should be concerned. This project is intended to solve the above questions by definingand probing them.This thesis is a research on "human cultural existence and the innovation of ideological andpolitical education". It aims to realize the innovation of Ideological and political education. It isbased on philosophical existentialism. It uses the Marxist studies of man as the theoreticalframework and draws conclusions from the cultural philosophy, the cultural anthropology. Itsmethodology includes the methods of system, the combination of practice and theory,comparison, value analysis, contradiction analysis, etc. The general points are as follows:First, the definition of the human cultural being and the innovation of Ideological andpolitical education. The project defines human cultural being in the register of philosophicalexistentialism and discloses its philosophical implications from its contents, features andmanners. As an intensional definition, the human cultural existence is one dimension of thespiritual existence. It refers to human beings’ seeking meaning and values in the spiritual world.It contains "awareness"、"emotion"、"volition"、"belief",which reveal and ascertain the spiritualsignificance of the human cultural existence. It has the features of practicality, subjectivity andgenerativity. It can be divided into such sub-categories as the human cultural being of class,group or individual.Second, the analysis of the theoretical relationship between the human cultural existenceand ideological and political education. On the one hand, the human cultural existence is thetheoretical foundation of ideological and political education, covering the value orientation,general laws,general relationships and environmental field. To be specific,the human cultural existence determines the value orientation, i.e. it governs the general laws of ideological andpolitical education, or, Ideological and political education is restrained by the laws of humanpsychological development, mental development and the shaping of his virtue. Human culturalexistence forms the general relationships in ideological and political education, i.e. therelationships among human beings, between human beings and cultures. The human culturalexistence sets up the environmental field,i.e.,it sets up the macro and micro cultural contexts.On the other hand, ideological and political education is the representation and the manner ofrealization of the human cultural existence. It carries cultural attributes, such as culturalorientation, and integrity, develops cultural functions such as propaganda orientation,modulation, transmission and innovation.Third, the analysis of the relationships between human cultural existence and the realsituation of ideological and political education. On the one hand, this project shall analyze thereal situation of human cultural existence in value appeal,grouping,manner and conditions ofbeing. To be specific, its value appeal, grouping, manner and conditions of being are allchanging from one dimension to multiple dimensions. On the other hand, the real situation ofhuman cultural existence is the foundation of the realization of ideological and politicaleducation. This project shall analyze the opportunities and challenges which ideological andpolitical education confronts. As to the opportunities, the value idea of ideological and politicaleducation shall reveal more subjectivity; its content, more modernity, its methods, moredimensions, its context, more tolerance. As for the challenges, the project shall probe theconflicts between the value appeal of ideological and political education and various appeals ofhuman cultural existence, the gap between the contents of ideological and political educationand various cultural groups, the maladjustments of the educational methods, the splashbetween the real function of ideological and political education and the complex culturalsituations.Fourth, the analysis of the development and innovation of ideological and politicaleducation from the perspective of human cultural existence, such as the manner, the process,the field of human cultural subjectivity. In the eyes of the individual and social existence of thesubject, ideological and political education is the nurture of individual and social value; in theeyes of the process, ideological and political education is the process of the formation of cultural belief, cultural value and cultural innovation; in the eyes of field, ideological andpolitical education has two dimensions, one is in daily life, the other is in non-daily life.Fifth, the analysis of the construction of the methodological principles of ideological andpolitical education. The cultural existence of human beings is the unity of individual and socialcultural existence. Based on that, this project shall seek the realization of unifying theindividual and cultural existence of human beings through the combination of perception,emotion and action education. The cultural existence of human beings is the unity of reality andtranscendence. Based on that, this project shall seek the realization of unifying its real andtranscendent existence of human beings through the combination of historical and logicalanalysis. The cultural existence of human is the unity of locality and globality. Based on that,this project shall seek the realization of unifying its local and global existence of human beingsthrough the combination of reference and reconciliation.Sixth,the analysis of the application of the new ways of ideological and political educationin the perspective of human cultural existence, i.e., the enhancement of the capability ofcultural subjects, the expansion of the carriers of culture and the optimization of culturalenvironments. As for the enhancement of the capability of cultural subjects, ideological andpolitical education can lead them to enhancing cultural comprehension, assertion, cohesionand thus may lead to the enhancement of cultural awareness, confidence and strengthening. Asfor the expansion of the carriers of culture, ideological and political education can enhance theintegrity of real and virtual carriers to expand the variability of cultural carriers. As for theoptimization of cultural environments, ideological and political education can build familyculture, schooling culture and social culture to cultivate individuals in different culturalenvironments.
