Social Management Thought Of Marx And Engels And Its Contemporary Value

Social management is an essential social activity of human beings."Social management thought" in Marx and Engels’perspective considers country, society and people as its principal part. It is based on the principles such as people’s democratic rights, social servants, the combination of legislative and executive powers, and low-cost government, etc. It tries to meet the needs of the people on education, employment, social security and other aspects through social policy making, social management supervision, coordination of interests and supply of public services, so as to maintain social fairness and justice, and achieve the self-management of society and the comprehensive development of human beings. Their idea of social management is a science about the methods and rules that the proletariat and the masses of people use to safeguard the socialism and communist social organism. The research on social management thought of Marx and Engels and its contemporary value is aimed at providing theoretical support and practical references for the social management system with Chinese characteristics.The paper is divided into five parts. The fifth chapter elaborates the contemporary value of the social management ideas of Marx and Engels, which encourage the achievement of fairness and justice of contemporary Chinese society, promote the formation of contemporary social management system with Chinese characteristics and guide contemporary Chinese people to achieve comprehensive development.It’s beneficial for us to study the social management thought and its contemporary value. We can make use of a more direct part of Marx and Engels’thought to explicit the direction of social management of contemporary China, and summarize some new methods from their thought in an abstract way to guide practice.
