The Research On The Words And Phrases Of Lingbao Taoism Classics In Middle Ancient Age

Taoism classics were born as the Taoism was born in East-Han Dynasty, suchas the earlist Taoism classic <Tai Ping Jing>. Taoism extremely developed inWeijin-Six Dynasties, and the Taoism classics increased in the same time, which wasthe Middle Ancient Age of Chinese Language history.Lingbao Taoism classics are very important parts of the Taoism classics，andthey are of large number, including wide content. They are very valuable in languageresearch. First, they have the identified written ages. Althought they were written inthe immortals’ names, the academics had researched and determined their writtenages, for example <Taoism classics collection summary> written by Ren Jinyu, and<Taoism classics introduction> written by Zhu Yueli. The new <Zhonghua Taoismclassics collection> arranged the Taoism classics in a new order with the certainwritten ages. Second, Lingbao Taoism classics are in spoken language in fairly, andcontain many dialect words, which could be helpful for learning the language inMiddle Ancient times. Third, they are numerous Taoism words, which expresseTaoism concepts or culture, are valuable in Taoism classics language research. Last,Lingbao Taoism classics contain many Buddha words, and we can research languageand lexical through the comparion between Buddha and Taoism classics.At present there are little research in Taoism classics language, and LingbaoTaoism classics were not researched yet. There are many difficult words in LingbaoTaoism classics, and nobady solve them. The existing research of some difficultwords had some problems. Some conclusions are not so precise. The research ofLingbao Taoism classics (and some Sanhuang Taoism classics) difficult words willsupply new data for the research of Chinese language and lexical history.The thesis contains two parts. The main one is the research of difficult wordsand phrases in Lingbao Taoism classics, which includes the mistakes incharacteristics, Taoism words, word borrowing, semantic extending and the otherdifficult words. The other part is the appendix, which is the collation of the <Taoism classics collection> and <Zhonghua Taoism classics collection>. This part is alsovery important and it is also related to the research of words, so we put it as theappendix.
