| The cultivation of regional competitiveness is the driving force of economic development in the era of knowledge economy.Knowledge spillovers and regional scientific and technological innovation are the source of the growth of regional competitiveness. There is a certain gap in China’s eastern and western regional competitiveness.The analysis of knowledge spillovers and regional technology innovation is the basic strategy to promote the development of the eastern and western regional competitiveness and to reduce the gap of the eastern and western regional competitiveness.Based on the theory framework of endogenous growth theory, regional economic theory and technological innovation theory, and by means of existing research of knowledge spillovers, regional scientific and technological innovation and regional competitiveness as well as their correlation, this study constructs the statistical analysis model of their correlation, evaluates the differences of knowledge spillovers, regional scientific and technological innovation and regional competitiveness among different regions of China by using macro-yearbook data, and examined the correlation and granger causation of them.With structural equation model and the comparison test in the eastern region and the western region of samples, this study founds the gap of the eastern and western regions competitiveness, and raises the strategies of cultivating eastern and western regions competitiveness as well as the strategies of shortening theirs gap, so as to promote the enhancement of regional competitiveness of China’s eastern and western regions.The innovation of this study includes the following three aspects:(1) Based on the endogenous growth theory, regional economic theory and technology innovation theory, this study constructs theirs statistical analysis model of correlation and expounds the growth path of the regional competitiveness in the condition of knowledge overflow.Endogenous Economic theory emphasizes endogenous economic development, and thinks that the development of modern economy is driven by knowledge, and realizes the economy growth under the conditions of technological innovation.The growth of regional competitiveness is one of economic growth formation.Knowledge spillovers may be regarded as knowledge diffusion, and is a variety of knowledge management behavior at the micro. (2) With the help of the eastern and western sample data, on the basis of the factor analysis and using the software of SPSS11.5and Liserl8.7, this study finishes the statistical analysis of knowledge spillovers, regional scientific and technological innovation and regional competitiveness model, and reveals the microscopic growth mechanism of regional competitiveness, and founds the advantages path and inadequacies of regional competitiveness, and compares the statistical analysis results between eastern and western sample.For the eastern and western regions:①there is a significant promoting role of knowledge overflow for regional scientific and technological innovation.②there is a significant promoting role of knowledge overflow for infrastructure competitiveness, economic strength competitiveness and market environment competitiveness, and not for sustainable development competition.③there is a significant promoting role of regional scientific and technological innovation for infrastructure competitiveness, economic strength competitiveness and sustainable development competitiveness, and not for market environment competitiveness.For the eastern region:①there is a significant promoting role in①①①①knowledge overflow for regional scientific and technological innovation.②there is a significant promoting role in knowledge overflow for infrastructure competitiveness, economic strength competitiveness and market environment competitiveness, and not for the sustainable development competitiveness.③there is a significant promoting role in regional scientific and technological innovation for infrastructure competitiveness, economic strength competitiveness, market environment competitiveness and sustainable development competitiveness.For the western region:①there is a significant promoting role of knowledge overflow for regional technological innovation.②there is a significant promoting role of knowledge overflow for infrastructure competitiveness and sustainable development competitiveness, and not for economic strength competitiveness and sustainable development competitiveness.③there is a significant promoting role of regional scientific and technological innovation on the infrastructure competitiveness and economic competitiver, and not on the market environment competitiveness and sustainable development competitiveness.(3) on the basis of statistical analysis, and combined with practical investigations of the regional competitiveness in China’s eastern and western regions, this study puts forward the cultivation strategy of regional competitiveness in overall economy and the eastern and western region, and the strategy how to shorten the gap between eastern and western regional competitiveness.For the objective of cultivating regional competitiveness of whole economy, it should be sustainable development competitive and market environment competitiveness:①from the perspective of knowledge spillover, and for the cultivation of sustainable development competitive, mainly to strengthen the three aspects of the knowledge behavior: knowledge acquisition, knowledge socialization and social capital sharing.②from the perspective of the regional scientific and technological innovation, for the cultivation of the market environment competitiveness, mainly to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and to increase R&D investment.For the cultivation of the regional competitiveness in the eastern part, it should be train the sustainable development competitive, and should be from the perspective of knowledge spillover. Being the existing of regional specificities in eastern region, its mprovement strategies of knowledge spillovers is different from western region and the country’s overall situation.The strategy of promoting knowledge spillovers in eastern region mainly depends on the knowledge filter, knowledge society and knowledge transfer between enterprises and social capital sharing of four ways.For the cultivation of western regional competitiveness, it should strength economic competitiveness, sustainable development competitiveness and market environment competitiveness:①from the perspective of knowledge spillover, the strategies of cultivating economic strength competitiveness mainly depends on knowledge collection, knowledge classsificati on, knowledge socialization, management model innovation and market information sharing of five ways.②from the perspective of knowledge spillover, the strategies of cultivating Social development competitiveness includes knowledge collection, knowledge classsification, knowledge socialization, management model innovation and market information sharing of five ways.③from the perspective of the regional technical innovation, the strategies of cultivating market environment competitiveness includes such aspects as technical personnel amount, patented invention, the utilization of the, scientific papers, intellectual property protection and the total of research topics.④from the perspective of the regional technical innovation, the strategies of cultivating sustainable development competitiveness mainly includes technical personnel, patented invention, technology papers, the protection of intellectual property rights and total research items of five aspects. |
