In recent decades, the world’s economy has been continually rapid developing. Inthe process of rapid progress of economy, the huge consumption of natural resourcesand energy resources, and severe environmental pollution are accompanied. So how tobalance the economic advancement, the intensive utilization of natural resources andenergy resources and effective protection of ecological environment is becominghotspot for people. This is an especially stern practical problem for China because ourcountry is currently in the process of industrialization and urbanization.Remanufacturing is a general term of a series of technological measures or engineeringactivities of taking waste forming products as blanks, criteria for high quality, highefficient, energy and material saving, environmental protection, and based on advancedtechnology and industial production, to restore and reform the waste products to theiroriginal use value. The remanufacturing of waste cars’ spare parts is an important part ofremanufacturing industry,according to the statistics,the output value of remanufacturingof waste cars’ spare parts accounted for two thirds of the whole remanufacturingindustry in the world[1], however the remanufacturing of waste cars’ spare parts is in theinfancy stage in our country, in view of the huge potential and the problems of currentstage, the administration has laid a series of regulations to guide and support thedevelopment of remanufacturing of waste cars’ spare parts. The recycling andremanufacturing of the waste cars’ spare parts is an important link to develop circulareconomy and the important basis of realizing resources saving and environmentalfriendly society, so the research of this problem has important theoretical value andpractical significance.This paper mainly studied the optimation design for the remanufacturing logisticsnetwork of waste cars’ spare parts, mainly on the following three parts: the productioncost and assumption area exist difference between new and remanufacturing parts, thedemand quantity of spare parts and the recycling quality of waste parts in eachassumption area are uncertain, simultaneously considering the total operating costs andthe influence to environment, how to optimal design the remanufacturing logisticsnetwork for waste cars’ spare parts. The main contents are as below:①Researched the optimation design of remanufacturing logistics network forwaste cars’ spare parts under deterministic environment. In the hybrid system comprised of manufacturing and remanufacturing activities,the production cost between new andremanufacturing products exists differece and the saling areas between new andremanufacturing products maybe different, furthermore, in the different period ofoperation, the disparity of demand and recovery quantities in each consumption areamaybe existed. Based on this scenario, this paper researched the optimation design ofmanufacturing/remanufacturing integrated logistics network for waste cars’ spare parts,take the minimal total operation costs as the objective, established the optimation designmodel. According to the characteristics of the model, designed a kind of hybrid geneticalgorithm to solve it. In the end, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of themodel and the algorithm.②Researched the optimation design of remanufacturing logistics network forwaste cars’ spare parts under stochastic environment. In the hybrid system ofmanufacturing and remanufacturing, the demand quantity and the recovery quality ineach period maybe stochastic parameters. Meanwhile, in different operation period, thedesign parameters maybe different. Based on this scenario, this paper established theoptimal design model of hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing system under stochasticenvironment. As regard to the stochastic parameters in the model, applying the approachof expected value to transfer the stochastic parameters to deterministic parameters tosolve the model.③Researched the optimation design of remanufacturing logistics network forwaste cars’ spare parts under fuzzy environment. In the remanufacturing logisticsnetwork, the demand quantities of spare parts and the recycling quantities of wastespare parts in each consumption area maybe fuzzy numbers. Moreover the capacity ofeach kind of facility has certain elasticity and can be viewed as fuzzy parameters. Underthis environment, respectively established the optimal design model of independentremanufacturing logistics network and the manufacture/remanufactue integratedlogistics network. According to the characteristics of the models, put forward thesolution of convert the relevant fuzzy programming models to deterministic models forsolving, number examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the model and theapproaches.④Researched the problem of simutaneously considering the minimal totaloperating costs and the minimal harmful effects to the environment, how to optimallydesign the remanufacturing logistics network. Firstly, in the single period scenario,established the optimation design model comprised of three type of facilities, namely the collection spots, the recycling centers and the remanufacturing plants, took theminimal total operating costs and the minimal influence to environment as the twoobjectives, established the corresponding mathematical model for remanufacturinglogistics network with multiple objectives in single period, as regard to the differentdimensions of the two objectiveness, put forword an approach of transform the multipleobjective problem to simple objective to solve the model. As regard to the optimationdesign for manufacturing/remanufacturing integrated logistics network with multipleperiods, took the minimal total operation costs and the minimal harmful effects to theenvironment as the two objectives, considering the corresponding relation between theproduction cost for each unit and the production mass, established the optimation designmodel considering multiple objectives within multiple periods, applying the weightingmethod to transform the multi-objective model to single objective model for solving.
