Along with a new round basic education curriculum reform continuesly deepen,curriculum management system in our country have changed profoundly, basic education curriculum implementation of national, local, school three-level curriculum management, enhance and meet the curriculum to needs of local, school and students. On school-level curriculum management, the development of school-based curriculum becomes the important content and reform highlights of curriculum reform. Knowledge selection is the extremely important basic part in the development of school-based curriculum, which directly relates to the achievement of the goal of the development of school-based curriculum, and plays a significantly restrictive role in the implementation and evaluation of the school-based curriculum development. This study focus on knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum, through literature research, theoretical analysis, experience summary and case study and according to the basic idea of "what it is", "who select ", and "how to select".The introduction part of the paper describes the source of the selected topic, elaborates the research’s theory significance and practical significance, clarifies the fundamental problem of knowledge selection, deepens the theory research of school-based curriculum development, provides theoretical reference for primary and secondary schools, and promotes the practice of the school-based curriculum development progress. This part conducts a comprehensive review and su mmary of the present research, and puts forward the basic method of the research.Knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum is different from knowledge selection the development of the national curriculum, local curriculum. The first part of the paper makes a deep analysis of knowledge selection, the development of school-based curriculum, and knowledge selection in the development of the school-based curriculum, which reveals the connotation and characteristics of knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum. Knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum is to select knowledge in the school-based curriculum development activities and processes. It is an activity under the guidance of the concept of the development of school-based curriculum, following certain standards, conducted mainly by schools and their teachers, affected and restricted by schools, communities, personnel and other conditions, selecting and constructing the knowledge in the development of school-based curriculum, and realized though the procedures and strategies of knowledge selection. Knowledge selection is a school-based, diversified, dynamic, constructive and practice-oriented activity. This part mainly answers the question “what it is”.Knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum is an activity that a certain subject conducts according to the corresponding standards. In this part,the subjects for the select of knowledge are devide into basic subjects, secondary subjects and support subjects applying Field theory and stakeholders theory. The basic subjects include students, teachers, headmasters. Students are the main subjects for the select of knowledge. Since, students are the independent subjects for their development. Moreover, knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum aims to meet the interests and hobbies of students. Teachers are the basic subjects, who understand students’ demands and personalities best. Teachers play their roles through understanding their students, finding and developing students’ interests, and constructing the knowledge together with students. Headmasters are the leaders and coordinators in the development of school-based curriculum. The secondary subjects include parents and the community.Parents are the important subjects of knowledge selection. They understand their children best, and play an active role in selecting the knowledge. The community participates in selecting the knowledge in various way s. The support subjects include education administration department, experts of curriculum, universities and research institutions,Who can supply support and consultation service.This part mainly answers the question “who select”.Knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum is influenced by many factors.In this part,the influence factors are divide into macro factors, medium factors and micro factors. The macro influence factors include the bacic requirements of nation and society,the value and function of knowledge, the medium influence factors include schools headmasters, teachers and students, the micro influence factors include parents,experts of curriculum and resources of the community, which directly relate to the level and the quality of knowledge selection.Knowledge selection in the development of school-based curriculum needs to go through a series of procedures and takes corresponding strategies. The basic procedures include the orientation of knowledge selection, the confirming of the subjects of knowledge selection, the standard of knowledge selection, and the assessment of knowledge selection. The basic strategies include transplantation strategy, derivation strategy, creation strategy, etc. This part is about the question “how to select”.This dissertation finally summarizes the basic contents of this study, explains the new ideas and limitations of this study, and puts forward the basic direction of the further study. To deepen this study, it is necessary to increase the empirical research, to enrich and expand the content and framework of the research, and to enhance the theoretical level of the research. It is important to promote the theory research and the schools’ practice of the development of school-based curriculum and to promote the all-round development of students through the research of knowledge selection.
