The Marx doctrine of the nature of science and value is the historical choice of Chinese people. However, in the period of rapid social change, some people are involved in the process of balancing the relationship between material and spirit, the loss of the spirit or even the faith makes it difficult for people to be a complete person, resulting in a series of problems and crises covered all aspects of social life. Looking around the international situation, leading international science and technology by the western developed economy, low trend of the international communist movement, western social ideological trend in the field of ideology in China, all is wanton impact on college students’ belief. Reviewing of domestic situation, the negative effect of market economy in transition, the bad influence of lax party, un-mainstream culture and the inertia of decay culture, all are impacting college students’ Marxism faith. We have to face the risk of west, material and differentiation which are believed by the college students, nip in the bud. At the same time, some problems in the current Marxism faith education in colleges and universities need to be solved right now, such as:educators still exist the thinking to emphasize knowledge education than belief education, system and mechanism of faith education needs innovation and some of the educators are shaking or un-clear in the Marxism belief, etc. It is a big challenge for Marxism belief education.The third part, it is to discuss the content of the Marxism belief education in colleges and universities. Based on basic belief knowledge education in colleges and universities, Marxist belief education aims to help students build materialist world outlook and the pursuit of free comprehensive development life and building the social ideal of communism. Among them, dialectical materialism and historical materialism are the philosophical foundations of the materialist world outlook and scientific atheist is an important part of Marx’s view of the world. The theme of scientific atheism education is to propaganda of the scientific thought, promote thescientific spirit and spread scientific knowledge, scientific method, and guide students to set up the scientific view of nature, world view and life view. Consciousness of modem scientific atheism education has two points. The one is to clarify the atheistic,against the theism and the pursuit of sanctity, and keep the relationship of sacredness and fearing inner heart. The second is to deal with good relationship between atheism education and the policy on freedom of religious belief. Personal life belief education includes the content of guiding students to advocate personal freedom and comprehensive development(personal life ideal), pursuing the happiness of social standard(personal life purpose), serving the people with heart and soul(pointing of action) and dying for the people, worthy death(thinking death). Communist society ideal education(social and political belief education) includes the content of the firm "two must", grasp the "two will never", relying on the common ideal, to construct the Chinese dream.The fourth part is to discuss the promotion path of Marxist belief education in colleges and universities. The conformity of principles and methods is an important symbol of the mature belief education. At present, Marxist belief education in colleges and universities should be on the basis of the following main principles: systematic principle, scientific principle and the principle of subjectivity. Marxist belief education should also strive to build the methods system with ultimate care combined with reality, beliefs in lifestyle combined with political education, positive inculcating combined with comparative criticism, dominant education combined with recessive.Among them, theoretical teaching method, affective infection method and practical education method are the main methods. At the same time, we should further strengthen the construction of the mechanism of the education of Marxism belief in higher education institutions so that we can improve the management mechanism of the belief education, perfect the mechanism of the implementation of the classroom teaching, and construct the long-term mechanism of the practice teaching.In a word, Marxist belief education in colleges and universities is a significant career and there is a long way to go in the future.
